The Association of Social Work Boards (ASWB) provides support and services to the social work regulatory community to advance safe, competent, and ethical practices to strengthen public protection.

ASWB is seeking a Communications Project Coordinator to provide vital functions essential to multi-platform messaging and information flows. Reporting to the Director of Public Relations and Communications Strategy (PRCS), the Communications Project Coordinator is charged with maintenance of the association's ongoing communications activities related to social media and newsletter / email marketing. More generally, the Communications Project Coordinator contributes to the PRCS business plan and supports internal and external communications among staff, association members, partner organizations, licensure candidates, and other stakeholders in alignment with ASWB's culture, purpose, and values. The Communications Project Coordinator assists in the drafting of media releases, articles for the ASWB website, items for newsletters, and social media content.

Instrumental in assuring information accuracy and content resonance, this position is responsible for supporting and facilitating communications projects across a variety of platforms including but not limited to Constant Contact; Facebook; Instagram; LinkedIn; and WordPress. In collaboration with ASWB staff, the Communications Project Coordinator provides technical writing and editing while researching and generating innovations in timing, format, and promotion of communications with regulatory stakeholders.

This is NOT a full-time remote work opportunity.

Key Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities

- Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, public relations, journalism, or related field
- A minimum of 3-5 years' experience working either at a communications agency/firm, or in a communications, marketing, or PR position within a member organization, trade association, or a nonprofit organization
- Demonstrated experience in content development, media relations, social media strategy, or internal and external communications program to advance an organization's mission
- Excellent oral presentation, writing, and editing skills with the ability to communicate clearly and effectively
- Strong time-management and organizational skills
- Graphic design skills, preferred
- Photography skills, preferred

Salary: $54000 - $91000 per year
