What You Will Do

As the Strategic Communications Specialist, you’ll partner closely with the CEO and CMO to deliver impactful, integrated communications that help drive our overall corporate strategy and build the Formstack brand. Supporting both internal and external communications, you will play a key role in telling the story of who we are as a company, influencing how we’re perceived in the market, and differentiating us from the competition. Driving internal communications, you will be responsible for implementing activities, programs, and processes that help increase employee alignment around company strategy and strengthen our remote culture.

Responsibilities

Internal and External Communications
Serve as the front-facing voice of the Formstack brand providing a professional and approachable avenue for employees, customers, partners, and prospects to connect
Develop engaging social media strategies to drive optimal organic reach and following
Manage, create, and publish original, high-quality content across confluence, slack, email, video and social networks
Stay up-to-date with new digital technologies and social media best practices
Collaborate with HR and social media leaders on employee advocacy and employer brand initiatives
Provide strategic advice on communications best practices, channels, and execution
Track program results and identify key learnings to help improve future programs and communications
Commit to continuous learning and improvement of skills
External Communications Focus
Administer all company social media accounts, including posting schedule and social media inboxes
Prepare monthly and quarterly reports on top social media metrics
Create videos and written content in support with the CEO for internal and external communications
Proactively work with CEO and CMO to build and execute content repurposing and distribution strategies
Collaborate with the Design Team to explore new and engaging mediums while adhering to brand guidelines
Discover and connect with industry professionals and influencers via social media for co-marketing opportunities and to build a strong network within our key verticals
Develop and manage brand profile-raising initiatives including executive speaking engagements, company awards, etc
Internal Communications Focus
Curate content for weekly Internal communications newsletter on Confluence, manage readership
Develop internal communications strategies around marketing campaigns and product releases
Collaborate with Partner, Product Marketing, Sales, and Customer Marketing teams to support the promotion of product developments, community engagements, and social selling goals
Develop training materials and curate and craft sample posts to support employee brand advocacy via social media channels
Establish relationships with team leaders and executive leadership team to deliver a unified narrative and integrated communications that educate employees about key initiatives and inspire action
Support monthly all-company meetings and manage internal communications editorial calendar and channels (e.g. email, Slack, Confluence, etc.)

Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities

Required:

1-3 years of experience in communications; Experience in a high tech or other fast-paced, disruptive environment (or agency) a plus
Passion for communication and writing that inspires in your span of influence
Strong problem solver, blending creative and analytical skills
Detail-oriented, with high standards for brand, messaging, quality, and consistency of work
Strong organizational skills with the ability to make timely decisions, anticipate problems, and provide creative solutions
Passion for digital marketing (i.e., website, email, paid advertising, virtual events) and is on the lookout for other cutting-edge technologies
Demonstrated ability to work with cross-departmental teams and effectively manage projects and relationships that involve all levels of management
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to travel once a month
