We are looking for a creative and organized person to work in conjunction with the Marketing and Communications Director on all aspects of the organization’s day-to-day promotional and administrative activities. This position supports Park events on site and off site.

Key Responsibilities:

Creates marketing emails and is responsible for the Partnership’s Constant Contact email lists
Designs and writes copy for weekly email newsletter promoting Park events and activities
Utilizes social media to market the Park, including writing engaging content and managing paid ad campaigns
Responsible for updating the Glen Echo Park website and collaborates with departments to manage web content
Responsible for posting Park events online, including Glen Echo Park website and external websites
Tracks press coverage and maintains press lists
Works with Marketing Director to develop promotion plans/marketing activities schedule for Park events
Designs and develops marketing materials for a variety of events and programs
Provides data for reports on website, social media, and email marketing effectiveness
Prepares drafts and edits press releases, PSAs, and media advisories
Attends and assists at public festivals and special events and offsite promotional activities
Maintains relationships with and information flow from Resident Artists/Organizations
Organizes and maintains creative content in Digital Asset Management system, including images, video, logos, and other digital assets
Assist with video projects
Performs other related duties as assigned.

Required Skills & Abilities:

Excellent computer skills; Macintosh experience required
Thorough knowledge of Microsoft Office, including MS Excel and MS Word
Graphic design skills; Canva preferred
Website analysis experience; familiarity with Google Analytics preferred
Video editing skills; Adobe Premiere Pro preferred
Experience with social media, including Facebook, X (formerly Twitter), LinkedIn, YouTube, and HootSuite
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Excellent organizational and project management skills
Ability to work independently
Fluency in spoken and written English required.

Education and experience

Bachelor's degree or equivalent
One to two years related experience, preferably in a nonprofit organization

Physical and other requirements: Must be able to sit at a desk and work on a computer for prolonged periods of time. Must be able to lift and move up to 40 pounds and walk throughout the Park to distribute marketing materials and help with events. Have reliable transportation including during hours when public transportation is not operating. Must be able to use own transportation for occasional errands on behalf of the organization

Hours: Full-time, Exempt

Regular work hours are 9:30 am to 6:00 pm from Monday to Friday. Some additional evening and weekend hours are required for events and activities as well as meetings with volunteers.
