Site Direct Media Manager Job Description

Reporting to the Director of Site Direct & Partnerships, this position will be responsible for day-to-day site direct media management across Moroch Digital Solutions’ portfolio of clients. This person will have a direct involvement in all activities associated with the planning, buying and execution of any site direct media. Site direct media is classified as all forms of digital media that are purchased on a direct-IO, managed service basis. It does not include search or social media but may include programmatic media.

What does it take to be a Site Direct Media Manager?

· Bachelor’s degree and at least 4 years, 5+ preferred, in digital media planning and buying, OR equivalent combination of education/experience. Of this experience, your background should include:

3 years of experience in planning/buying site direct, managed service digital media
3 years of experience in translating media planning and strategy to media buying and execution
1-2 years of experience in managing direct reports
Agency experience (preferred)

· You possess the utmost accuracy and attention to detail – you never miss a thing

· You truly thirst for project management, both small and large scale

· You’ve mastered how to build digital campaigns in a media buying platform (Prisma experience preferred)

· You have strong deadline management skills with a history of hitting project milestones

· You’re a proactive communicator and a confident presenter

· You resolve issues autonomously, and you like being a creative problem-solver

· You have a firm understanding of an ad server and ad operations

· You can work well in a high volume and rapidly changing environment

· You have advanced skills in Excel and you’re data-minded

· You’re curious – you always want to learn more, and you enjoy teaching others

Site Direct Media Manager Responsibilities:

DIGITAL MEDIA BUYING

· Cultivate an understanding of how all digital channels work together and site direct media’s role within a media plan

· Execute site direct media buys, including gathering information from planners, building campaigns into Prisma, coordinating launches, and identifying optimizations once live

· Work together with cross-departmental teams, including a close working relationship with ad operations to ensure seamless and on-time trafficking, pixel placement, and execution

· Oversee invoice reconciliation and billing management of yourself and direct reports

· Develop and/or adopt new processes or workflow modifications to ensure consistent, accurate and repeatable processes are used, and drive adoption across the team

DIGITAL MEDIA PLANNING

· Issue RFPs to site direct media vendors and build recommended media strategies against client KPIs and strategic initiatives

· Develop strong relationships with the media planning team and serve as a trusted steward of campaign recommendations

· Ensure all recommendations deliver innovation and value to Moroch’s clients

DIGITAL MEDIA REPORTING

· Ensure elevated levels of campaign performance, client satisfaction, and retention are delivered by actively leading reporting needs and business reviews

· Pull, compile, manipulate and analyze raw data from first (ex: Tableau) and/or third party sources (ex: Google Campaign Manager)

· Translate data into written + visual insights and tell the performance story of “why”

· Train your team and/or department on reporting best practices

VENDOR MANAGEMENT

· Manage site direct vendor relationships and day to day processes. This includes but is not limited to hands-on, daily communication, IO processes/issuances, inventory and rate checks, and troubleshooting issues as they arise

· Schedule and lead calls with media vendors as needed

· Coordinate vendor meetings, disseminate information internally and keep up-to-date records of vendor capabilities

· Maintain a strong understanding of the digital media landscape and the vendors that exist within the site direct media environment

· Stay informed on emerging opportunities and digital technologies, and contribute to a monthly digital newsletter

LEADERSHIP

· Manage intern, junior and/or mid-level employees. Train on best practices around campaign management, campaign set up, communication and overall teamwork/delegation

· Demonstrate autonomous ability to manage and prioritize personal workload and/or workload of direct report(s)

· Demonstrate leadership behavior including strategic thought and expertise for the digital space and applicable verticals

· Educate the team on process & procedure and help formulate and implement new processes as they arise

LOCATION

· Dallas residents preferred, but we are open to considering remote employees

· Local Dallas residents will have the option of a remote or hybrid in-office working environment. In-office time is required for vendor and/or team meetings

· Travel up to 10% if remote
