Summary

As part of the Marketing, Communications & Government/Regulatory Affairs team (Marcom), the intern will support the ongoing development and implementation of the internal and external communications programs for RES in the Americas. The position will also support other Marcom activities.

Requirements

Drafts press releases, bylines, op/eds, and other media-focused content.
Posts approved releases to website and distributes to targeted media outlets.
Helps promote releases and resulting coverage via social media.
Helps document media relations plan, policy, and process for use on Marcom website and onboarding.
Monitors and reports on earned media coverage using Cision media monitoring software.
Supports platform development and media training for executive leadership.
Supports content development for internal communications channels, including Weekly Digest, monthly Keeping PACE newsletter and quarterly town meetings.
Monitors Viva Engage internal social media channel for story opportunities.
Compiles feature stories on employees who have earned promotions, won awards, etc.
Writes other feature stories on people and projects for use on intranet, website, social media, and other channels.
Upholds visual and verbal brand guidance, including writing in an established tone of voice.
Tracks projects in an editorial calendar using workload management software.
Builds and maintains media components of the Americas editorial calendar.
Helps the Marcom team with other projects based on company needs and professional interests.

Qualifications

Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in public relations, journalism, communications or related field required.
No experience necessary, but previous internship experience is a plus.
Strong storytelling, copywriting, editing, and proofreading skills.
Solid research, analysis, and report preparation skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Comfortable working with a variety of software platforms.
Experience with media databases, monitoring, and distribution software is a plus.

Anticipated Base Salary Range: $18 - $20/hour

The final agreed upon compensation is based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location.
