We are seeking a Marketing Specialist based in our Mundelein, IL headquarters office (full time, hybrid role: 4 days working in office, 1 day working at home). Reporting to the Director of Marketing, the Marketing Specialist will develop, coordinate, and execute marketing tactics that support the marketing team’s strategies and campaigns. The ideal candidate will be able to understand B-to-B technical products and cleverly craft content for brand awareness and lead generation. You need to have a solid understanding of B-to-B marketing concepts, customer journey, and persona targeting as well as superior customer-centric writing. A collaborative nature with exceptional project coordination and follow-through skills is required to work with internal departments as well as externally with channel partners. Responsibilities:

  • Brainstorm content ideas based on product manager, sales, or channel partner input and market trends
  • Write, revise, edit, and proofread B-to-B customer-centric, compelling content to support campaigns for product launches, thought leadership, and lead generation (literature, website content, newsletters, emails, social media posts, press releases, articles, blogs, eBooks, guides, customer testimonials)
  • Post content and graphics on social media platforms and website
  • Create newsletter calendar, format, and disseminate engaging content on a consistent cadence via email platform
  • Analytics and reporting for social media, newsletters, emails, and demand generation content
  • Website search engine optimization (SEO) to improve SERP and create reports to track results
  • Manage online brand store - select, source, order, and maintain inventory, promotional items, and literature
  • Coordinate and streamline promotional item request process and work with promotion vendor to meet event deadlines
  • Assure literature inventory is stocked, get printing quotes, and review proofs
  • Manage relationships with external vendors, such as promotional items and printing
  • Assist with coordination and logistics for in person and online events: partner events, tradeshows, open houses, and webinars
  • Contribute to channel co-marketing collaboration with distributors, machine tool builders, machine tool dealers, and cutting tool manufacturers
  • Project coordination working with graphic artists to give input, proofing, and execute content
  • Keep marketing assets organized and up to date on company shared drives
  • Plan and schedule internal communications efforts - employee photo/video shoots, blogs, and company event social media posts
  • Ensure quality and timeliness of marketing deliverables
  • Perform other marketing duties as needed
  • 10% domestic travel to tradeshows, vendors, or photo/video shoots possible


Knowledge & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing or communications
  • Minimum of 3 years of B-to-B experience in manufacturing, industrial automation, related industry (automotive, aerospace, die/mold, energy, job shop, medical), or agency experience
  • Solid understanding of marketing concepts, customer journey, and persona targeting
  • Excellent B-to-B writing skills required - candidates will be required to submit writing samples such as articles, blogs, eBooks, whitepapers, website content, or social media strategy
  • An advanced digital aptitude - able to work with various online marketing platforms: social media platforms, website platforms (WordPress, or similar), email marketing platform (Constant Contact or similar), CRM platforms, and PowerBI
  • Knowledge of or prior experience with pay-per-click (PPC), marketing automation tools (HubSpot, Marketo, Eloqua, Pardot, etc.), webinar platforms (Teams Webinar, WebEx, GoToWebinar), and PIM/DAM platforms a plus
  • Search engine optimization (SEO) experience a plus
  • Collaborative in nature with proficient communication, organization, and time management skills required
  • Self-motivated, exceptional multi-tasking capabilities, attention to detail, and follow-through on execution to meet deadlines
  • PC proficiency required - Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint), Teams, and Forms


Compensation range from $60,000 to $80,000 based on experience and skill
