The Corporate Communications Specialist will play a vital role in enhancing Covenant Case Management Services’ internal and external communications. Reporting to the Chief Marketing and Technology Officer (CMTO), this position will be responsible for developing and implementing communication strategies that promote the company’s mission, values, and initiatives. The specialist will manage the company’s weekly and monthly newsletters and oversee various internal programs and events, ensuring that content is engaging, informative, and aligned with organizational goals.

What You Will Do | Responsibilities

Newsletter Development and Management:

  • Create, edit, and distribute the company’s weekly and monthly newsletters, ensuring timely delivery and alignment with the company’s messaging and branding
  • Collaborate with various departments to gather relevant content, including updates, achievements, and employee highlights, for inclusion in newsletters
  • Monitor engagement metrics and feedback to continuously improve newsletter content and format
  • Lead and manage the "Mentor of the Month" program and "Mentor of the Year" award to recognize outstanding mentorship within the organization

Communication Initiatives:

  • Assist in developing campaigns for the executive team to roll out important communications related to new initiatives, policy changes, and companywide announcements

Event Planning:

  • Organize and coordinate company events and gatherings, including the holiday party, Summer Bash, Mentor Week, ensuring they align with company culture and branding

Campaign Liaison and Champion:

  • Act as a liaison and champion for company campaigns, driving excitement and awareness through email correspondence, personal calls (where applicable), and CRM campaigns
  • Engage employees and stakeholders in company initiatives, fostering a sense of community and collaboration
  • Drive and support internal recognition of staff for outstanding service, highlighting achievements and contributions to the company’s success

Employee Engagement and Internal Branding:

  • Measure and be a key driver of employee engagement through the creation of frequent internal branding campaigns focused on employee appreciation, retention, and engagement
  • Develop and execute internal communication strategies to keep employees informed about company news, initiatives, and policies
  • Create engaging content for various internal communication channels, including emails, intranet posts, and announcements
  • Foster a culture of open communication by encouraging feedback and conducting employee surveys to assess communication effectiveness

Marketing Collaboration:

  • Ensure the marketing team has the information needed on staff members, departments, and company services to highlight and feature in campaigns
  • Support all marketing and branding campaigns being rolled out by the marketing department, ensuring alignment with internal communications
  • Oversee compliance with company branding standards, including the use of logos, fonts, images, and other branding elements

Marketing Asset Management:

  • Manage requests for marketing assets, including posters, business cards, advertising materials, career fair materials, and service brochures
  • Coordinate and manage photography release forms for families and staff to ensure compliance and proper use of images

Internal Branding Campaigns:

  • Support internal branding initiatives such as themed weeks, Family Day, Employee Appreciation Week, and the holiday party, enhancing employee engagement and morale
  • Collect and share feedback on areas for improvement and identify which marketing assets are most impactful

Feedback and Service Improvement:

  • Provide ongoing insights and feedback on how the company can improve service levels both internally and externally
  • Monitor and evaluate employee and client feedback to identify areas for enhancement in communication and service delivery

Community Engagement:

  • Develop relationships with local community leaders and organizations, providing resources and connecting groups such as the Chamber of Commerce and local autism organizations as an example
  • Determine which organizations Covenant should be targeting, schools liaising and companies that might want to partner or sponsor families
  • Support leaders in building relationships within the community to enhance the company’s presence and outreach

Content Distribution:

  • Support and distribute content related to Paul Peters’ Collective, Growing Minds, and Nehemiah Project to raise awareness within the Covenant community
  • Ensure relevant content is shared effectively to engage employees and stakeholders

Collaboration and Team Support:

  • Work closely with the CMTO and other team members to identify communication needs and develop strategies to address them
  • Participate in team meetings and contribute to brainstorming sessions for communication initiatives

What We Are Looking For | Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, or a related field
  • Minimum of 2-4 years of experience in corporate communications, marketing, or public relations
  • Exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading skills, with a keen eye for detail
  • Strong project management skills, with experience in organizing events and initiatives
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with various stakeholders
  • Familiarity with digital communication tools and platforms, including email marketing software and social media management tools
  • Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously

What We Are Looking For | Education & Licenses

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field preferred
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in payroll and benefits administration, preferably in a healthcare or multi-state organization
