About TechPals

TechPals is a student-led nonprofit dedicated to closing the digital literacy gap for seniors. By pairing enthusiastic high-school volunteers with older adults, we empower communities, foster intergenerational connections, and help seniors confidently navigate today’s online world.

As our Volunteer Digital Content Creator, you’ll craft engaging, on-brand visuals and copy that showcase TechPals’ impact and grow our online presence. You’ll work closely with our Marketing team to brainstorm, design, and schedule content—everything from social-media posts to short videos. Your creativity will help us reach more seniors and recruit passionate volunteers across the country.

• Content Strategy & Planning: Collaborate on monthly content calendars aligned with our mission, events, and awareness days.
• Social Media Creation: Design graphics, write captions, and edit short videos for platforms like Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, and LinkedIn.
• Blog & Newsletter Writing: Draft compelling blog posts, volunteer spotlights, and newsletter articles that tell TechPals’ story.
• Visual Asset Production: Use tools like Canva, Adobe Spark, or similar to produce engaging imagery, infographics, and templates.
• Scheduling & Analytics: Schedule posts via tools like Buffer or Hootsuite and track basic performance metrics to inform future content.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner virtually with volunteers, program leads, and the Marketing Coordinator to ensure consistency and accuracy.

• Creative Flair: Strong eye for design, storytelling, and what resonates on social media.
• Communication Skills: Clear, engaging writing style and the ability to tailor tone for different channels.
• Tech Savvy: Comfortable learning new online tools (e.g., Canva, scheduling platforms, basic video editors).
• Self-Motivation: Able to work independently, meet deadlines, and juggle multiple projects in a fast-paced volunteer environment.
• Passion for Impact: Excited about helping seniors build digital confidence and eager to learn about nonprofit marketing.
