This is a highly visible role that blends marketing, community relations, admissions, and outreach. The ideal candidate brings a proactive, relational approach and thrives in a dynamic school environment where no two days are the same.

Key Responsibilities

Enrollment & Outreach

  • Design and execute enrollment strategies to grow student enrollment across all grade levels (K–5).
  • Serve as the primary contact for prospective families, from initial inquiry to enrollment.
  • Host campus tours, open houses, and informational sessions.
  • Actively promote and manage outreach pipelines that support scholarship programs such as GA GOAL and GA Promise to recruit eligible students and increase scholarship participation.
  • Build and sustain relationships with local organizations, community partners, and early learning centers.

Family & Community Engagement

  • Create and manage meaningful engagement programs that connect families, teachers, and school leadership.
  • Plan and oversee family events, volunteer opportunities, and parent communications.
  • Maintain a strong presence during drop-off, pick-up, and school-wide activities to foster trust and connection.
  • Seek opportunities to grow an “engagement team” by recruiting student interns, volunteers, or participants from city/county workforce development and mentorship programs.

Fundraising & Advancement

  • Support donor engagement efforts, grant applications, and community fundraising campaigns.
  • Help manage donor communications and stewardship, including events and impact reporting.
  • Partner with leadership to plan and execute seasonal giving drives and fundraising events.

Marketing & Communications

  • Develop and manage content for newsletters, email campaigns, social media, and the school website.
  • Ensure brand consistency across all public-facing communications.
  • Highlight school achievements, student success stories, and classroom snapshots to strengthen outreach.

Data & Dashboards

  • Maintain an enrollment dashboard and share weekly progress reports with leadership.
  • Track engagement data, outreach efforts, and fundraising metrics.

Programs & Knowledge

  • Serve as the internal point of contact for GA GOAL and GA Promise, ensuring clear communication with families and continuous growth in these programs.
  • Stay informed on private school funding programs, scholarships, and local education trends.

A Day in the Life: Engagement and Advancement Coordinator at TWS

You begin your morning outside, greeting students and families by name as they arrive. You check in on a new student’s first week, exchange a smile with a parent, and help a child out of the car with warmth and encouragement.

Back at your desk, you check your email and enrollment dashboard—three new GA Promise inquiries came in overnight. You respond promptly, schedule tours, and send a welcome packet. You then post a classroom highlight to Instagram, showcasing a joyful science experiment from the 2nd-grade class.

Mid-morning, you sit down with the CEO and Head of School to report on GA GOAL scholarship participation and map out next month’s parent breakfast. You make a few phone calls to follow up with prospective families and draft a donor thank-you email for last week’s fundraiser.

Before dismissal, you update the calendar on the school website and finalize the layout for Friday’s family newsletter. You’re outside again by 3:00 PM, waving goodbye to students, chatting with parents at pick-up, and jotting down feedback from a grandparent who wants to get more involved.

You end the day by following up with a local workforce development coordinator about a possible intern placement for the fall. You're building something bigger than yourself—a small but mighty engagement team that will help carry the mission forward through storytelling, outreach, and real community connection.

Ideal Candidate Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing, education, nonprofit management, or a related field preferred.
  • 2+ years of experience in school-based outreach, marketing, advancement, or operations.
  • Prior experience in teaching, instructional support, or child-centered environments strongly preferred.
  • Familiarity with GA Promise, GA GOAL, and Georgia’s private school landscape is a plus—or willingness to learn fast.
  • Strong writing, content creation, and verbal communication skills.
  • Tech-savvy and organized; experience with Canva, Mailchimp, Google Workspace, and social media management platforms.
  • Personable, proactive, and deeply aligned with the values of community and educational equity.

Why Join TWS?

  • Work at a mission-driven school serving children and families with love and excellence.
  • Join a collaborative leadership team focused on growth, impact, and sustainability.
  • Play a visible, high-impact role in a vibrant school community where relationships matter.
