About the Role

Client is a Global Renewable Energy IPP and developing renewable energy projects across the U.S. and in Asia. Backed by a Global Private Equity Fund, they have a 20+ GWs pipeline.


This role covers project finance, structured finance and investments and is a critical hire for a A+ caliber Financing & Investments team. This is an exciting opportunity for Analysts/Associates in this space who want to work in both financing & investment, have great mentors/team members to learn from, exposure to a robust pipeline and an opportunity to work for a growing new-age, International Independent Power Producer (IPP).


Key Responsibilities/Goals:

  • Develop an understanding of different electricity and capital markets for electricity generating assets (tax equity, lease/buybacks, partnership flips, non-recourse debt and corporate ownership)
  • Build and improve financial models for project underwriting and financing transactions
  • Assist in project development, project and portfolio acquisitions, and deal structuring
  • Conduct market research and prepare other types of analyses as needed
  • Present oral or written reports on projects, financial results and research
  • Collaborate with various functional teams on different tasks


Key Requirements:

  • 2-3 years of project finance, structured finance, investment banking, or renewable energy valuation experience at a financial institution, renewable energy developer, or independent power producer
  • Exceptional analytical skills and understanding of relevant financial and mathematical modeling techniques. Strong and developed competency in MS Excel (financial modeling) with proficiency in MS Word and Powerpoint
  • Database programming skills (VBA, Excel macros, Python) a plus
  • Ability to work collaboratively
  • Consistent attention to detail
  • Superior listening, critical thinking, and writing and presentation skills
