The Role:
Serpentine Jewels is looking for a creative, innovative, self-motivated and organized Editorial and Content Marketing Manager to lead the brand’s social strategy and execution across all channels.
The position will be based in our NYC and Greenwich, CT offices (3x week NYC, 2x week Greenwich, flexible).
As our Editorial & Content Marketing Manager, you will guide and execute our social media strategy and create content through our online and offline channels. Your focus will be building our brand presence, communicating our Founder’s unique perspective and voice as well as informing our audience of finished projects and new products. You will help educate and engage our audience about the ins and outs of diamonds, relaying Ali’s expertise and desire to make the jewelry industry more transparent and approachable.
You will be the eyes and ears of the business, accompanying Ali and our team through all of the things we do, from stone review and selection to design and production to client meetings to events all with the goal of giving our audience a “behind the scenes” look at Serpentine Jewels.
We are in an exciting period of growth and as we approach the next chapter of our business, you will be tasked with communicating our expansion and creating fresh opportunities to experience the brand. Our new moves include opening an atelier located in Greenwich, CT, launching e-commerce, and expanding our in-house jewelry collections.
Responsibilities:
As the Manager of Editorial and Content Marketing, you will take the lead on creating all content across channels that is representative of our unique brand voice, aesthetic and identity. You will create a comprehensive monthly content calendar to be shared and reviewed by Ali and our entire team. With a focus on gemstones and jewelry, this role requires constant content creation, which includes styling, shooting, editing, and copywriting. You will be responsible for all written content we put out, whether online or in print. You will implement a sales strategy and channel on Instagram that is compatible with inventory and sales on the website. You will prepare and send out our newsletter. You will keep the website up to date with new products for sale, ensuring products are aligned with Instagram content and sales. You will occasionally accompany Ali and the design team to jewelry shows with the goal of capturing BTS of the experience and making Instagram sales in real time. You will create and implement an influencer and partnership strategy driving brand awareness and sales. You will build out our website/blog with educational content for our audience. You will be tasked with increasing brand recognition and driving sales. You must always be looking for ways to implement process improvements to make each day better than the last. Finally, you will approach each day with a positive attitude and sense of humor.
What You’ll Do?
- Develop and maintain marketing calendar for the month and year through the following channels: Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, TikTok, Reels, IGHTV, e-commerce website
- Creating and posting content that showcases our ready to wear jewelry
- Driving brand awareness through unique campaigns that feature our new pieces and collections
- Creating a strong engagement strategy to build and grow a loyal community
- Optimizing content plan based on sales reporting to increase revenue
- Planning and executing photoshoots, whether professionally outsourced or in-house
- Basic photo editing (experience in Photoshop a plus)
- Copywriting for all online & offline channels
- Oversee community engagement
- Responding to sales inquiries on social channels
- Ongoing performance analysis on a monthly basis
- Identifying emerging trends on social media and leading evolution of content strategy
- Guiding and deliver copy for product name and descriptions
- Building out blog with educational content
- Managing a library of all photo assets
What We’re Looking For:
Knowledge of diamonds and fine jewelry (strongly preferred)
Experience in writing and creating brand content for brands in the jewelry, designer or luxury space
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal copywriting and verbal communication skills
Strong proficiency in Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, Tiktok, Reels, IGTV
Experience in Shopify & SEO is a plus
Photography, Photo Editing, and Video
Minimum 3+ years of experience
Bachelor’s Degree
Proven experience in copywriting and brand direction across a variety of mediums
The passion to build, develop and grow
Discerning creativity and upscale taste level
Superior communication and interpersonal skills
Strong attention to detail
Strong organizational and time management skills; ability to juggle priorities
Flexible approach to manage decision-making in an environment where on-the-fly changes are frequent
