The Communications Manager creates innovative, engaging, and measurable ways to share our stories and messaging to internal and external audiences.
Communications
- Conceptualize, create, write, manage, and design day-to-day social media, drive action across all major channels- Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn
- Create original content relevant to our markets for the Hello! monthly newsletter and the Hello! internal website
- Create innovative and measurable ways to share our stories and messaging to external audiences
- Engage all employees to generate content
- Create deliverables for the sales team to include presentations, email campaigns, and outreach tools
- Identify and evaluate digital and print editorial opportunities
- Research and develop strategy for traditional advertising in industry periodicals
- Research opportunities and submit for industry speaking engagements for Hello! personnel and leadership
Marketing
- Maintain quality control and consistency for all Hello! branding efforts
- Manage Hello!’s company intranet to include:
- Create and post featured news stories and assist with the development of banner graphics, as needed
- Manage employee assets, including periodic reviews of content for accuracy, reviewing, and maintaining current org charts
- Periodically review all written content for accuracy, including office profiles
- Ensure company documents are posted appropriately
- Welcome new employees to Hello! by posting a welcome message on the Best in Biz news feed collaborating with the Vice President, Employee Experience
- Collaborate with the National Director, Brand Activation to select and showcase on Best in Biz
- Post company announcements on the Best in Biz news feed
- Review the Best in Biz news feed for appropriate content and images to share externally on social media
- Manage website content and design to ensure delivery of clear and creative content:
- Periodically review all office and company information for accuracy
- Update gallery images quarterly
- Gifting inventory and fulfillment as well as holiday giveaways
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in marketing or communications field
- 2+ years of experience and knowledge of the meetings and events industry
- Proven track record of creating compelling, innovative, and visually creative digital content
- Excellent written and oral communications skills
- Strong storytelling ability
- Self-starter capable of working as an excellent team player or independently
- Excellent understanding of internal and external customer-focused needs
- Proficient in MS Office, PowerPoint, and Adobe Creative Suite
- Experience posting and formatting content using a Content Management System (CMS)
