Position Summary
This position will report to the Senior Director of Culture and Global Internal Communications and will support various communications projects – from writing/editing articles to designing promotional materials, presentations, and building and publishing Sharepoint web pages. The ideal candidate will be passionate about communicating with employees, creative and excited to experiment, highly detailed-oriented, and a savvy communicator with excellent written skills that are authentic, transparent, and without corporate speak and jargon. The candidate for this role must also have a strong understanding of best practices in branding and can easily weave in visual design elements.
Responsibilities Including, But Not Limited To
- Create content for campaigns that align with project objectives, employee engagement efforts, and company goals
- Write, edit and customize content for various communication channels - including internal portal, the weekly newsletter, promotional banners, targeted emails, LinkedIn posts, and company-wide meetings and events
- Help create visual communications to convey messages in an effective and aesthetically pleasing manner
- Build Sharepoint web pages and provide ongoing publishing support
- Support the behind the scenes preparation, approvals, and testing of targeted emails and newsletters before release
- Helps manage internal communications editorial calendar, as well as LinkedIn calendar
- Support building slideshows (leveraging music, photos, and creating messages to help inspire and engage employees)
Technical Requirements & Skills
- 4-8 years of experience in internal, employee or corporate communications
- Highly preferred to have pharmaceutical, biotech or medical device experience
- Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communications skills
- Well versed in weaving in brand tone and authenticity – understands brand identify and can uses attributes consistently throughout all communications
- Able to exercise discretion, judgment, and diplomacy
- Proven relationship building
- Highly organized and detail-oriented
- Calmness under tight deadlines and flexible with shifting priorities
- Experience working in a global company preferred
- Self-starter with a proactive mindset that strives to raise the creativity bar
- Familiar with video creation software and online tools
- Highly Proficient in Social Media
- Highly Proficient in MS Office Suite, mainly designing PowerPoint presentations
- Highly Proficient in Sharepoint page development and publishing
- Graphic design capabilities a plus
