We are seeking a dynamic leader to join and build this firm's Growth Organization – someone who has an entrepreneurial spirit and is passionate about developing and building something from the ground up. The successful candidate will be an experienced marketing professional who is looking to lead the charge for a fast-growing company. The candidate will be working directly with the firm’s Executive leadership in order to create, develop, and execute marketing, PR, and brand strategies. This person should be comfortable driving the end-to-end process, leveraging minimal existing structure. This role will report directly to the VP of Growth.
As the Director of Marketing, your primary objective is to unleash the full potential of the innovation ecosystem as well as the consulting delivery team and the superb healthcare innovation services they provide to partners and clients. This organization might be the best-kept secret in the healthcare innovation space and is looking to increase awareness of its name and brand. You will be responsible for managing and developing the various marketing strategies and taking the brand, product-market fit, and inbound sales capability to the next level. Primary Responsibilities
· Designing and implementing comprehensive marketing, PR, and brand strategies
· Collaborating with leadership to support company-wide marketing related decisions
· Creating and managing goals and success metrics for marketing initiatives / investments
· Developing data-driven leadership reports that track key marketing metrics over time
· Collaborating with consulting team members to identify high-impact eminence topics and drive development of eminence pieces
· Managing the content creation process for various forms of media with support from consulting team members with subject matter expertise, partners, and/or 3rd party vendors
· Operating and improving existing marketing channels and initiatives (e.g., eminence creation, quarterly ecosystem newsletter, social media presence, award opportunities, etc.)
· Owning website strategy and building / managing a backlog of fixes and enhancements
· Driving brand awareness and strategy with industry leading collateral, SEO, and web presence
· Uncovering key insights and trends that inform marketing, sales, and growth investment decisions
· Monitoring and controlling budgets and allocating resources (financial and other) to maximize marketing related return on investment while supporting overall company-level strategies
· Building and institutionalizing marketing processes, procedures, and toolsets
· Staying up to date with marketing trends, best practices, new ideas, and emerging opportunities
· Manage press releases and promotion of new services and capabilities
· Leading marketing related learning and development trainings for current and future employees
· Identifying best-in-class 3rd party marketing / PR vendors and agencies, negotiating associated contracts with selected vendors and agencies, and managing / developing ongoing relationships with preferred vendors and agencies
· Supporting the development of a high performing and inviting culture
· Supporting the development, orchestration, and execution of company and partner events, including supporting event-related communications via email, social media, newsletter, and other channels
· Owning all required ad-hoc functions in the marketing of and acting as the point person within the organization for all marketing needs, information requests, and related initiatives
Qualifications
· Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree (e.g., MBA) in a discipline related to marketing, communications, and / or equivalent practical experience preferred
· Minimum of 5 years of experience in marketing, public relations, media, advertising, marketing analytics, or another relevant field
· Previous marketing experience at a healthcare or professional services firm with knowledge of the healthcare value chain is strongly preferred
· You are highly collaborative and can effectively leverage the team’s healthcare expertise and input to drive marketing efforts
· You have experience managing and guiding SEO, web analytics, and benchmarking strategy
· You demonstrate intellectual curiosity, are results-oriented, and approach tasks with a sense of urgency, creativity, and flexibility
· You apply critical thinking and analytical skills; you can break down complex problems into component parts, perform research, structure and analyze qualitative and quantitative data, and present viable solutions with support
· You can facilitate executive and senior level client meetings and drive conversations with internal leadership
· You have an entrepreneurial approach and are willing to tackle the strategic needs of the business as well as executing the tactical elements required to deliver
