The Human Resources Assistant assists with administrating the day-to-day operations of the human resources functions and duties. The Human Resources Assistant carries out responsibilities in some or all the following functional areas: Human Resources Information System (HRIS), filing, and processing new hires.
Duties:
- Responsible for scheduling all pre-employment and pre-access drug screens, background checks, and Safety Council training.
- Upload all documents associated with hiring in the HRIS System.
- Responsible for printing all forms associated with onboarding, scheduling appointments for PPE orders, and any other responsibilities with pre-employment implementation.
- Assists with scheduling random drug screens and documentation required for the program.
- Update all employees’ photos, distribution lists, and communication groups in HRIS.
- Responsible for responding to unemployment claims.
- Responsible for updating drug screen data into HRIS.
- Responsible for updating education and years of experience in HRIS.
- Responsible for creating service feedback forms for clients.
- Responsible for condolence log, new hires, and anniversaries list for newsletter.
- Assisting employees with their benefit cards and questions.
- Generate and complete reports (i.e., new hires, random drug screen, etc.)
- Work on assigned projects.
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
Specific Skills:
- Good skills in Office related software packages, specifically EXCEL, and computer database understanding and proficiency
- Data entry and HRIS experience a plus.
