What role we're hiring for:
We are a growing fintech organization looking to add a
People and Culture Generalist reporting to our People and Culture Manager! This role will be based out of our headquarters in Austin, Texas.
What you'll be responsible for in this role:
- Responsible for employee onboarding, including requisition of documents, approvals, new-hire swag, and record keeping compliance
- Coordinating and executing our global wellness initiatives and events for our multiple offices around the world, including both virtual and in-person
- Facilitating our employee appreciation initiatives including holidays, birthdays, anniversaries, and milestones across the globe
- Ensuring the Austin office is running smoothly and keeping it stocked with healthy snacks
- Maintaining the People & Culture Sharepoint
- Assist with creating training and developing curriculum for multiple departments
- Create the monthly People & Culture newsletter with the PC Coordinator
- Handle employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate staff
- Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance
- Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.
- Assisting with the ever-changing People & Culture strategy and Ad Hoc Requests
What experiences and skills are necessary to be successful in this role:
- 2 – 5 years of experience supporting a growing People Operations team
- A demonstrated eye for detail and discretion when working with a range of projects and communications across the stakeholder landscape
- PHR or SHRM-CP certification preferred
- Ability to facilitate multiple initiatives across a global environment
- An internal, customer first mindset with a passion for driving employee experience
- The ability to be proactive and jump in and help whenever necessary
