As a Managing Director - Team Lead, you lead a book of business and a team and support Stern IR’s growth and new business efforts. Beyond your client accounts, you are also a leader in our organization, driving client account strategy and managing program execution.
What You Can Expect Day-to-day
- Supervises client pool with a minimum of $1,000,000 in contract value
- Accurately projects retention of each client and implements retention methodologies
- Manages client leads within pod to ensure they have adequate support, provision of high quality client service; and troubleshooting situations that could impact client satisfaction and retention
- Responsible for professional development/mentorship of dedicated group of assigned staff through regularly scheduled feedback meetings; Manages, cultivates and delegates to additional colleagues on client account teams
- Collaborates effectively with other pod leaders to advance the growth and manage the operations of Stern IR
- Participates in regular leadership meetings and interactions with Precision Medicine Group
- Provides IR counsel for senior management and corporate communications teams; proactively generates ideas and sees opportunities for clients
- Drafts and reviews technical corporate communications materials
- Conducts research projects and targeting analyses
- Manages the planning and execution of roadshows, meetings and other investor events
- Manages relationships with relevant contacts on Wall Street
- Event planning and on-site support, including occasional travel
- Manages various initiatives at Stern IR (networking, company newsletter, etc)
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree
- Minimum 5+ years of work experience in biotech and healthcare IR
- Demonstrated success in delivering high-quality client service and IR support
- Proven leadership, including experience managing teams and individuals
- Ability to successfully manage multiple projects from conception to completion on deadline in a diverse team environment
- Prior IR agency experience
- Ability to advise C-level executives on strategy, including complex, high-level requests
- Strong writing and editing skills
- Ability to communicate and present materials and concepts in a clear, effective and persuasive manner
- Ability to conduct sophisticated research and analysis
- Able to work independently and as part of a team
