VDC Project Specialist
What You Will do:
The Virtual Demand Center (VDC) is seeking a Project Specialist to ensure that the onboarding experience for our new hires provides our sellers the knowledge, materials, and tools to be successful in their new role. Working with the Sales Activation Team, VDC sales leaders and other cross functional stakeholders, you will influence the development and delivery of training content for onboarding to the VDC. To succeed, you need to be confident and well organized and build excellent ongoing relationships. It’s also important to be curious and approachable yet assertive with an unprecedented focus on quality.
You will play a key role in the VDC Engage process to understand when new training requirements are required. Next, you will work with the Activation team to ensure that the training is assigned an owner/trainer and that delivery due dates are met. You will also manage the VDC Training Request process to ensure that all training requests are properly vetted and dispositioned.
You will be responsible for leading the onboarding and offboarding process, ensuring that all new hires receive the proper information, welcome gifts, invites to leadership welcome, etc. This includes ensuring that our learning management system (MindTickle) is always current and reporting is accurate. You will play a key role to ensure that leaders are aware of mandatory training and the % completed each week.
You will play a key role in contributing content to the weekly Activation newsletter related to upcoming trainings and key information required so that sellers and managers are current on mandatory training and/or are aware of what is outstanding.
Key Responsibilities includes, but not limited to:
- Manage the Sales Activation Quarterly Training Plan (QTP) ensuring training is balanced by region and by role throughout the quarter.
- Responsible for the onboarding of new employees including and not limited to sending welcome letter, completing MindTickle profiles, gathering mentors, and sending Onboarding series so new team members can land solidly.
- Liaison to the central Cisco MindTickle team. Provide administrative MindTickle support for VDC content, training and analytics.
- Liaison to VDC Reporting team so that all reports are accurate and represent current training series.
- Responsible for gathering metrics related to training and enablement within the VDC.
- Liaison to the vendor responsible for welcome kit inventory and responsible for auditing of inventory.
- Key contributor to the weekly Activation newsletter, working with various teams to that training updates affecting sellers and managers is disseminated.
- Gather maintain key success metrics ensuring the integrity of the MindTickle and VDC Learning Dashboard reporting vehicles.
- Manage the Sales Activation Master tracker and Engage request tracker as SSOT for projects coming into the team.
- Lead VDC Alumni efforts for CEC profile updating for awareness within Cisco, etc.
Outcomes Expected:
- Quickly develop strong understanding of the VDC strategy, the key strategic initiatives and other projects planned which impact the VDC organization
- Navigate the Cisco complexity to establish a foundation for an effective integration within the organization
- Develop communications to update VDC leaders and sellers on training and enablement
- Responsible development and execution of training and enablement metrics for quarterly business reviews (QBR)

Requirements:
- High energy, enthusiastic, motivating style.
- At least 2-4 years of sales or relevant project/program management experience.
- Strong interpersonal skills across organizational, planning, communication and facilitation.
- Intermediate to advanced computer skills with in-depth knowledge of Microsoft Tools. Tableau is a plus.
- Self-starter with strong sense of ownership.
