Marketing Manager, eCommerce and Events
Golden Peak Media is hiring a Marketing Manager to lead marketing for our Interweave communities (that consist of knitting, crochet, beading, and jewelry) and our companywide events portfolio. As the Marketing Manager you will plan, prioritize, and execute the marketing initiatives across Interweave.com, as well as the live and virtual events, patterns, and magazines that make up the Interweave portfolio at Golden Peak Media.
Essential Job Functions and Responsibilities
- Work in collaboration with cross-functional teams and partners to increase revenue for eCommerce and event sites by moving engaged customers through a path to purchase
- Plan monthly promotion calendar based on events, product releases, sales, and budget
- Own executional components of product and event releases to ensure successful launches including coordination of schedules, development of marketing assets, execution of campaigns, etc.
- Develop and execute marketing campaigns (including email, social, print, direct mail, TV, billboard, and local activations) to drive attendance and interest in Golden Peak Media’s consumer events and retreats
- Work with Director of Marketing to develop event strategy and objectives; spearhead initiatives to meet objectives based on lead generation, customer advocacy and more.
- Produce and manage creative requests, outlining objectives and creative direction for campaigns and related assets to ensure cohesive cross-channel promotions
- Execute, optimize and analyze email strategy and performance
- Analyze site performance and drive improvements and A/B tests for the sites to increase conversion
- Represent the consumers and deliver recommendations for improvements in UX, functionality and features that increase satisfaction with our subscription products, site, and shopping experiences
- Measure and report on all marketing campaigns and activities
- Drive marketing influenced pipeline and generate qualified leads through onsite event activations and virtual events
- Build and update web pages for brand landing pages, pattern landing pages, and more
- Facilitate paid marketing strategy to develop product and promotional campaigns to deliver on revenue targets
- Stay in-the-know on market and competitor trends identifying changes, opportunities, and challenges
- Travel to events, working on event set up and tear down as well as being a strong brand presence and advocate at events and tradeshows
- Other duties as needed
Qualifications:
- Data-driven decision maker
- Enthusiastic and motivated self-starter with attention to detail
- Highly organized with an ability to manage resources and budgets
- Comfort building integrated marketing campaigns and experience managing marketing mix and attribution
- Ability to manage and prioritize competing projects in a fast-moving organization
- Experience with a variety of marketing channels including email, social, and events
- Strong communication skills and comfort interacting with all levels of the organization
- While not required, a passion for arts and crafts is preferred
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree required
- 4+ years of digital marketing
- Strong understanding of the digital marketing ecosystem (i.e. social media, direct, display, email and newsletter, affiliate, SEM, SEO) and segmentation
- Proven experience carrying out event marketing efforts, including pre-planning, at-event initiatives, and post-event reporting
