As a member of the internal community engagement and communications capability within the Compute, Networking and Storage (CNS) organization, your focus will be to create and execute an effective communications plan that is engaging, creative, timely and informative. You'll have a background in internal communications for a large global organization, and have a passion to continuously deliver high quality solutions while thinking outside the box.
Key Responsibilities Include
- Developing a strategic communications plan for the CNS organization and executing against it
- Establish and maintain comprehensive communications calendar (schedule) - including channels
- Author and publish CNS-related content on our intranet home page, including news articles and employee profiles
- Researching and drafting a variety of communications, including program updates, organization announcements, etc
- Planning and executing CNS town hall and quarterly senior officer events - including but not limited to preparing invitations, decks, talking points, briefings, etc
- Producing regular newsletter, partnering with leads across the product lines to create engaging and informative content
- Identifying and implementing ways to constantly improve communications across CNS, making them fresh, creative, and engaging by suggesting new ideas and engaging channel strategies
- Creating and adhering to a style guide for all communications
- Leveraging design standards, ensuring adherence to our brand strategy and templates
- Building strong relationships with members of the Global Technology Internal Communications team to ensure alignment of messaging with other functional areas, share best practices and optimize best use of resources to meet business priorities.
- Completing work in a collaborative and controlled manner and ensuring deadlines are met.
This role requires a wide variety of strengths and capabilities, including:
- Minimum of 10+ years of corporate communications experience preferred
- Excellent communication skills
- Outstanding writer, proofreader and copy editor with experience writing internal communications for large, global organizations
- Experience with visual storytelling; knowledge of Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop a plus.
- Demonstrated experience and success in event management, support and execution for senior executives a plus
- Knowledge of cloud infrastructure technologies a plus, but not required
- Experience working with and developing relationships with professionals at all levels in a corporate environment and across all businesses
- Strong attention to detail and an eye for design
- Great team player with high degree of flexibility
- Self-starter/ proactive/ willingly does what is required to deliver a superior product
- Excellent project management skills, with ability to manage several different types of projects simultaneously
- Fluency in English language communications required
- Proven ability to influence outcomes
