What is Workweek?
Workweek is a modern media company on a mission to entertain, educate, and connect the business world through unique personalities, unparalleled expertise, and innovative operations.
Simply put, Workweek builds media brands around individual content creators who have expertise in specific business verticals — from FinTech and Marketing, to Climate Tech and Healthcare — or business functions, like Content Marketing and SEO Marketing.
Workweek Creators are voices of authority in their industries who infuse personality into their B2B content, which is published across a variety of channels — newsletters, social media, educational courses, and beyond.
At Workweek, we’re on a mission to make work fun.
The Role:
Workweek is looking for a Director of Ecommerce to lead the development and execution of our ecommerce strategy across the Workweek ecosystem.
Why are we looking for this role?
As our creator-led media brands evolve, we expand from publishing content (like newsletters, podcasts, social media) into ecommerce – selling products and services (like educational courses, community subscriptions, event tickets and more) directly to a creator’s audience.
We’ve already launched our ecommerce operations, and now we’re looking for a leader to take us to the next level.
This leader reports to our VP of Marketing and will collaborate with them to develop a foundational strategy for our ecommerce operations – then, they’ll collaborate with our Leadership Team to adjust and optimize that strategy for different products and services across our ecosystem (i.e. Education, Community, Events).
Who is the ideal candidate?
The ideal candidate for this role is an experienced ecommerce marketer who has proven their ability to drive sales of digital products.
This person is a highly analytical marketer who not only knows how to implement marketing tactics, they know how to use data to optimize marketing funnels in order to deliver on sales and ROAS goals. Additionally, this person is excited about the opportunity to be a player-coach as they build their team at Workweek.
Most importantly, the ideal candidate aligns with Workweek’s Values & Operating Principles.
Workweek is an ambitious startup tackling a large opportunity — and that opportunity can only be realized if everyone on our team aligns with our mindset of driving the most value possible for our creators.
