Our nonprofit client in the public health space is seeking a marketing specialist to join their team. This role will be responsible for coordinating and implementing the execution of multi-faceted marketing and communication campaigns to support recruitment, retention and engagement in their programs. Additionally, this person will be responsible for trafficking design jobs, researching target audiences, tracking results, reporting on activities, and other duties as assigned.
This position is a long term W2 contract-to-hire, and operates on a hybrid schedule (two days in office.) All candidates must reside a commutable distance from Washington DC. All candidates must be vaccinated against Covid-19.
Responsibilities
- Manage editing of member-written articles and coordinates posting on their website and distribution in relevant communication channels
- Develop and send a weekly membership email, a monthly email newsletter, and other Member Section-specific newsletters as needed
- Provide regular reports on newsletter readership, open rates, etc.
- Work with Membership staff and leadership to write and/or edit content for the website and relevant newsletters, as well as the association members’ print publication
- Develops social media content for member channel platforms (social media platforms include Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram, WeChat and YouTube)
- Continually seek innovative ways to optimize and personalize content in member communications
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in communications or related field
- 1-2 years of experience working in the Communication field, familiarity with membership associations and/or health care writing
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite including Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- Familiarity with AP Style
- Familiarity with Google Analytics, Hubspot, Higher Logic, and CRM systems like Salesforce
