The Marketing & Communications Manager is responsible for the development and supervision of all public relations, marketing, and communications strategies for Digital Harbor Foundation. This individual will oversee the development of goals, strategies, and implementation plans to execute comprehensive marketing campaigns.
Education And Experience Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in communications, marketing, public relations, journalism, or a related subject desired and a minimum 3 years experience as a communications professional in the nonprofit sector; minimum of 5 years of experience without a degree.
- Prior relevant communications and marketing experience, including drafting engaging content to advance an organization’s mission.
- Experience developing and managing an annual communications calendar and strategies.
Knowledge, Skills And Abilities
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills. Must work well in a team environment.
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail and proofreading skills.
- Proficiency in managing social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, etc.), Hootsuite, and social media analytics technologies to engage a diverse audience.
- Knowledge of CMS platforms and basic HTML (WordPress, etc.).
- Demonstrated ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously while managing deadlines
- Must be adaptable, creative, and self-motivated.
- Experience with project management tools such as Asana or Smartsheet is helpful.
- Familiarity with communications and marketing industry trends and marketing analytics.
- Experience with communications and marketing plans and execution.

This position is fully remote.
Role and Responsibilities
- Marketing & Communications Strategy
- Lead and manage the development and implementation of an annual communications strategy and calendar.
- Develop targeted materials to support fundraising initiatives for multiple divisions.
- Track audience engagement data on Digital Harbor’s website, social media channels, newsletter, etc. Analyze data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
- Plan and execute events.
- Marketing
- Manage website and email content, including monthly newsletter, social media campaigns and fundraising campaigns.
- Create content & graphic designs for branded assets (Including presentations and templates) that can be easily applied across the organization.
- Work with program staff, clients, volunteers and donors to share compelling stories about Digital Harbor Foundation’s work.
- Develop and maintain internal and external testimonial banks.
- Develop and manage a library of printed and digital materials.
- Communications
- Facilitate external communications for senior leadership and staff.
- Manage communications for key initiatives and events, including: Annual Campaign, Giving Tuesday, and other key awareness initiatives.
- Manage digital advertising campaigns for multiple divisions
- Manage social media profiles and posts on Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, and other social media platforms.
- Public Relations
- Partner with senior leadership on public relations impact strategy.
- Serve as media and press liaison. Document virtual and in-person events via photo, audio, and/or video when needed.
- Write and promote press releases. Pitch stories to press contacts.
- Author blogs, articles, interviews, etc.

Compensation
The salary range for this full-time position is $60-67k, commensurate with experience.
