OVERVIEW
Morning Brew is looking for a full-time Supervising Producer to join our fast-growing multimedia department. This position is based in New York and the position would require you to be able to commute into our NYC-based office on a schedule determined by your manager.
As Supervising Producer, you will be responsible for leading a team of video producers to create content for multiple platforms and in multiple formats for the Morning Brew content brand.
Great candidates are comfortable working on deadlines in a fast-paced environment and are able to manage a team that includes members with varying levels of experience.
WHAT YOU'LL BE WORKING ON
- Manage a team of video producers with varied levels of experience
- Help team craft compelling stories within a variety of formats, and drive audience engagement and growth by creating resonant content
- Build the Morning Brew brand by creating the most engaging content possible that falls within the Morning Brew brand pillars, tone, and voice.
- Continuously uplevel the team’s skills including shooting, writing, editing, ideation, story structure, and topical relevance.
- Keep team members accountable for delivering on their projects on time, and at high quality
- Work collaboratively with other groups within the content org to maximize the impact of your team’s work
- Work collaboratively with sales, creative strategy and go-to-market teams to represent and drive excitement around Morning Brew’s video offerings for our brand partners
- Grow followership and engagement across platforms within our target audiences by creating content that breaks through, compounds growth, and builds the Morning Brew brand.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Enthusiasm for and strong knowledge of current business and financial news
- Experience growing YouTube channels from 0-to-seven figure subscriber counts
- Deep experiencing and a proven track record of growing platform audiences by creating share-optimized content
- Strong ability to understand how to ideate, structure, and tell stories that will resonate with Morning Brew’s audiences and the best ways to engage those audiences wherever they are consuming our content.
- Experience with standard pre, production, and post software and tools.
- Deep understanding of social and distributed video platforms (YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, Twitter)
- Outstanding communication, collaboration and organizational skills
- The ability to work on a deadline
- Minimum 6-9 years experience in video production and production management, and development
COMPENSATION
$145 - $155k. Final offers for this job will be made within the parameters of the salary range provided, commensurate with experience. Total offer package to include benefits highlighted under our perks section below.
