Content Director | Colorado AvidGolfer
Colorado's #1 golf, travel and lifestyle media brand, Colorado AvidGolfer is looking for a proven Content Director who can successfully lead the direction of the brand's content across multiple channels including print, e-marketing, online and social media. This progressive leader must understand modern media and will need to be highly creative, hands-on, strategic collaborative team player.
As the Content Director, you will be responsible for complete oversight of the content platform produced by our brand. You will need to demonstrate the ability to be a creative visionary, an experienced storyteller with strong skills, someone who knows how to work with company stakeholders, a professional who demonstrates the ability to see the big picture for audience growth and someone who understands the role of content in today’s media landscape. You will need to be a self-starter and one who understands how to position content to build reach, establish loyalty, engage appropriate audiences, help market tactical programs, and ultimately help put the company in a position to optimize profitability. You will be responsible for developing and helping execute an overarching content road map designed to transcend the Colorado AvidGolfer position in the market, and strategically improve our brand following.
Responsibilities
Complete oversight of brand content developed and executed across all company platforms including:
Print Platform
Colorado AvidGolfer Magazine | 8 issues per year
E-Platform
Weekly e-newsletter and sponsored e-marketing elements for database of 40,000+ opt in subscribers
Social Media Platform
FB, Instagram and YouTube channels
On-Line Platform

· Lead and manage staff of brand content/creative team members to include:
The Digital Content/Marketing Specialist
Two Art Directors for all platforms
Freelance writers for all platforms
· Ensure the accuracy and quality of all company content production.
· Establish and manage a team of strong freelance content producers and photographers for appropriate channels
· Lead audience growth strategies and ultimate execution across all channels
· Develop strategic content calendars for all channels
· Collaborate with company team on content marketing initiatives/positioning to increase revenue opportunities
· Demonstrate a working knowledge of Colorado golf and travel (people, courses, organizations)
· Knowledge of AP Style and editorial standards
· A passion for-not proficiency in-golf is required. Proficiency is a plus.
Qualifications
· Progressive content visionary with understanding of modern media content dynamic
· Bachelor's degree in journalism, communications, and marketing desired
- 3-5 years of experience in relevant content production a must
· Strong writing, editing, video, and proofreading skills a must
· Print editorial experience and understanding
· Understanding of SEO elements to help maximize content positions
· Ability to manage a team of employees and content budget effectively
· Social Media content experience across Facebook, Instagram and YouTube channels preferred
· Great attention to detail and strong interpersonal skills.
· Strong oral, written communication skills and the ability to give constructive feedback.
· Strong project management skills and strong team leadership skills.
· Conceptual creative abilities and the ability to demonstrate dynamic story telling.
· Experience with Adobe Creative Suite: InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, Acrobat DC, Bridge and Raw Camera
· Experience with WordPress
· Experience with HTML coding is a plus.
· Experience with content management systems such a Magazine Manager is a plus
Compensation/Benefits

· Base salary: $60,000 - $85,000 per year. Depending on experience.
