The Company is a small, family owned (cottage type) manufacturer and online retailer of unique yarn and fiber products for knitting, spinning and felting. 10 years ago we were the first artisanal fiber boutique on Amazon and that still is our main outlet in addition to our Etsy store.
We are looking for someone to manage our social media accounts on fb, Instagram, Pinterest, Ravelry, Google, and our blog as well as our advertising campaigns on Amazon and Etsy. Our main objective for this year is to add a shopify store and grow our customer email list by increasing subscriptions for our newsletter/blog.
These tasks were performed by our previous Social Media person in 6+ hours per week with the help of Later, InDesign, Adobe, Canva and Trello. Since she was local, she also was part of content generation for crafting videos etc. This aspect would require some re-thinking if all work is done remotely.
Knowledge and insights into the world of crafting with yarn and fiber - like understanding the lingo, trends and techniques - are essential for this job.
Our work hours are MO-THU from 9-3pm PST and while there may be portions of your job that can be done at the time of your choosing, we expect all relevant communications to happen at an agreed day during those hours.
We are a small team (2 are moms!) and quite flexible - if this is a good fit there may be other creative tasks to expand into. This is a contractor position but we are looking for long term engagement and are open to employment.
