Position Overview/Summary

The Marketing Communications Specialist will generate ideas and approaches to respond to creative briefs, collaborate with marketing and sales representatives to understand products and internal and external communication needs, and gather/analyze information to understand consumer needs and competitive response. Additionally, you will draft and propose communication campaigns, create and execute a 12-month multi-channel content calendar, and create multi-channel campaigns. In your remaining time, you will schedule and develop filming scripts and production, evaluate the success of campaigns, present design ideas and recommendations, and complete other duties as assigned.
You will review and work on our total customer passing information dataset and close the sales and marketing cycle on new and existing service inquiries using our marketing systems.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

Provide ongoing social media messaging and scripts, respond to negative feedback, and advise on reputation management handling breakdowns in communication with stakeholders
This means you would be posting content approved by the Marketing Manager on our Business Facebook account, LinkedIn, Google, and other social media platforms as needed. You would respond to negative communication from customers using response templates or workflows as required
Coordinate marketing presence at sponsored events, review past events to evaluate ROI, brand positioning, and future sponsorships. Advertise and coordinate ribbon cuttings, new conferences, ect as warranted.
This means you would assist the Marketing Manager or Director in communicating with community event organizers or primary contact. You will gather information on what is potentially needed or required and communicate this with the organizer or the Marketing Manager to ensure a successful event. This also includes advertising that Mainstream will be at the event, making sure materials have been printed and prepped, and any equipment needed is ready. After the event you will look at analytics to determine how much interest was generated vs the cost of the sponsorship or event materials and report this. You will also research potential events that Mainstream could be involved with or sponsor.
Be a skilled expert at market and territory research, connecting with our targeted audiences, increasing quality engagements and brand profitability, and tracking customer signups to curate email / text messaging lists.
This means that you would look at Vetro passings for each census block or zone, compare against sign ups on our website, and look at how they compare. This will help us evaluate what demographics or geographic areas have been successful marketed, or what areas need additional analysis.
You will also look at the demographics of new signups to analyze trends, reporting these findings to our Marketing Manager with your recommendations or thoughts.
You will take information provided by Sales team to update Constant Contact or other marketing systems.
Execute and maintain content for internal email marketing campaigns, the Intranet, and communications utilizing CRM and automation platform.
This means that you would be responsible for helping with any Sonar or CRM integrations with current or new marketing systems. You would assist with files that are to be uploaded to the Intranet, newsletter publication, department or company wide emails, Slack/Team announcements, ect.
You would also assist with company documentation systems to ensure documents, files, and systems are maintained. This could include Confluence or Sharepoint content creation / curation or migration.
Collaborating with different departments to fully understand product and communication needs
This means that you would assist with reviewing or curating material that is used by various department in communications with the customer. An example of this would be Canned Sonar Email replies, phone scripts, files / instructions / guides sent to the customer, ect. This material would be reviewed for accuracy, branding, readability, and style consistency.
Executing campaigns based on assessment, which may include social and online media, email, print media, direct mail, and other multimedia
This means that you would take developed materials from your Marketing Manager or team members, and publish these materials in the appropriate or requested channels. You will also want to review the material for typos, branding, and readability.
Creating and executing a 12-month multi-channel content calendar using approved materials released by Marketing Manager, while providing analytics
This means that you will prepare the approved marketing content for publication on a set schedule, reviewing click rates and other types of analytics.
Evaluating the success of campaigns when completed based on consumer response
This means you will analyze and report on QR code metrics, Facebook / Google clicks or reviews, and other social media engagement. This is to be reported to the Marketing Manager.
Additional support for the Executive and Management teams to distribute significant company and department updates, and communication, as needed.
This means that you will help distributed printed or digital documents, updates, or communications as requested.
Assist Brand Marketing Team and Special Project Teams with maintenance of materials, customer mailers, and shipment of goods as needed.
This means that you will help organize printed material or product dissemination, including ordering, tracking, delivering, or staging of these approved materials.
Support all Mainstream Departments with customer facing material ensuring consistent product verbiage and branding.
This means that you will evaluate all customer and internal facing materials for consistent branding usage and style guide consistency. The branding style for Mainstream Fiber is developed by the Marketing Manager, but you would be responsible for making sure this style is being applied consistently and finding material that needs reviewed or developed further.

Education And/or Work Experience Requirements

Preferred 1-3 Years' Experience and Functioning Knowledge of:

Graphic Design Principles/Tools
Visual/Multimedia Communications
Marketing/Branding
Creative Writing
Customer Service

a variety of different tasks and finish tasks on a deadline.
