JR Communications, a woman-owned communications firm supporting the marcom efforts of nonprofits and organizations doing something good in the world, is looking for entry-to mid-level communications pros to augment its growing team.
Specifically, we are looking to initially hire part-time contractors. Based on needs and performance, this could result in a full-time position. Looking for individuals that are self-starters, collaborative, and agile to join our team.
In the earned media space, we are looking for candidates who can:
- Draft media content and materials – advisories, releases, pitches
- Distribute pitches/releases to media and follow-up
- Conduct reporter research, update media lists
- Coordinate interview logistics
- Track media coverage
For content development, we are looking for candidates who can:
- Develop short-form pieces including testimonials, blogs, newsletter stories, etc.
- Interview organization clients for content development
- Maintain story bank for each client
- Support talking point development
Additional responsibilities would include supporting the Director, Client Services and JRC team by:
- Scheduling meetings with clients, internal, etc.
- Managing Asana (project management software)
- Managing & updating Google Drive
- Assisting with new business proposals
- Researching speaking opportunities/awards for clients
- Coordinate monthly report development
