Our organization is searching for a summer intern to assist with the research phase of a new digital content series focusing on the history of women in film. The content will include a podcast, social content, long form written content, and an email newsletter. While working on this project, your focus will be on the research and planning phase of this series.
Tasks:
- Researching historical figures in film and compiling details on their careers, their body of work, and industry impact
- Creating content outlines that include the researched information in an organized and natural way
- Sourcing examples of content from other sources as reference for audience engagement, brand differentiation, and industry standards
- Assisting with creating outreach lists for interviews, partnerships, and more
- Organizing documents, assets, and content calendars via google drive
- Other tasks may include assistance with video cutdowns, uploading podcast episodes, drafting copy for promotional materials, and more as time and interest allows
Qualifications & Skills:
Experience working in film, social media, marketing, and or digital content is preferred but not required. Those obtaining degrees in marketing, entertainment management, film, journalism, or similar applicable programs will be given priority consideration.
Ideal characteristics include:
- Detail oriented who is consistently thorough in their work
- Organized
- A good communicator, both verbal and written
- A self starter who can work independently on assigned tasks
- Well versed in working in Google drive, google docs, and google sheets
- Someone with a passion for community and underrepresented voices in film and entertainment
Recommended previous experience:
- Working in a content management, social media, or other similar marketing role
- Past experience working on long form research projects/papers (in school experience is fine)
Details:
- This summer internship will run from May 15th to Aug 11th (but dates can be flexible) entirely remotely. There is an opportunity to extend your work beyond the internship period if the summer goes well
- The expected hours are minimal and are estimated to be on average one full working day a week (7-8 hours) but can work completed on your own schedule
- As compensation you will receive college credit and a small monthly stipend for your work
