Job Summary: The Communications Coordinator supports internal and external communication efforts across platforms, and assists with communications campaigns and media relations. The role involves collaborating on content creation, acting as an internal liaison, and handling billing activities. Strong organizational and communication skills are essential to execute these tasks effectively and contribute to the company's communication strategies.
Job Responsibilities:
Communication & Media Support
- Develop communications content and update company information across platforms such as the corporate intranet, website, and social media.
- Assist in drafting and distributing press releases, coordinating with legal and media relations, and posting internally and externally as needed.
- Support media monitoring efforts and compile necessary reports, as well as manage responses to website inquiries, including necessary escalations.
Campaign & Event Support
- Support the planning, drafting, and distribution of the monthly companywide newsletter, including coordinating content, editing submissions, proofreading, and publishing.
- Assist in managing the Amazing News Network by gathering information from teams, writing employee recognition stories, and maintaining related documentation and training materials.
- Assist in the pre-planning and execution of functional communications campaigns as well as campaigns under the "RISE Together” platform.
- Coordinate and implement the company holiday program, including communication, scheduling, and promotional visuals.
Internal Liaison & Administrative Support
- Serve as a liaison for internal communications, assisting with requests from departments for logos, photography, and project planning, and collaborate with plant representatives to capture and promote plant-level news and events.
- Serve as the primary liaison and visual content owner for the company SharePoint page, ensuring content is visually appealing, current, and aligned with enterprise initiatives.
- Compile media packets and literature for PR events, media relations, industry events, and leadership team activities.
- Handle all invoicing activities and billing for the communications department as the accounting liaison.
- Collaborate with internal groups to gather content and information for marketing and communications projects and perform additional duties as assigned by the Senior Communications Specialist.
Experience:
- 1 – 3 years of experience in an individual contributor role.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Demonstrated strong skills in planning, organization and follow-through, with precise attention to detail.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Ability to communicate with all levels of staff within an organization.

- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
- Standard photography skills.

Education:
- Bachelor’s Degree in relevant discipline (i.e. Communications, Journalism, Marketing, etc.) from an accredited institution.
Work Environment:
- Frequently sit for long periods of time utilizing office equipment and/or computers.
- Occasionally lifts up to 20 lbs.
- Must adhere to the company’s Code of Conduct and all other policies.
