Job Description
NERA has an opening for a Business Development and Marketing Coordinator, who will be based out of our Washington, DC, office. The Coordinator supports and executes the business development and marketing initiatives for NERA’s experts and consultants. Reporting to a senior member of the Business Development and Marketing team, the Coordinator will work closely with consultants, additional Marketing team seniors, and other Marketing staff in the development, execution, and administration of marketing campaigns and projects.
The Coordinator will work with an experienced, diverse team on a range of campaigns including email announcements, creative social media campaigns, and world-class events. The NERA Marketing team is highly collaborative and collegial, working together to share insights and provide a high level of service to internal and external clients. The team fosters continuous learning and professional growth. The Coordinator will gain comprehensive experience in professional services marketing and business development, honing skills to create client growth strategies for teams and individuals.

They take initiative to plan and prioritize critical next steps, ensuring alignment with larger business objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Serves as a marketing and business development resource for multiple business groups at NERA, developing a working knowledge of groups’ service offerings, clients, and competitors.
- Writes clear and persuasive content for use on NERA’s website, newsletter(s), LinkedIn page, emails, and other external marketing channels.
- Delivers meaningful market, client, and competitive intelligence, research, and analysis to support business development and marketing initiatives as identified by consultants and seniors on the Marketing team.
- Assists with the planning, coordination, and production of corporate networking events, seminars, and webinars.
- Assists in the collection and promotion of completed project descriptions from consultants, tracking the results of business development activity.
- Uses NERA’s CRM to develop and update contact lists.
- Masters marketing technologies such as AEM, Semrush, Salesforce, and AI tools to provide insights and increase efficiency.
- Keeps themself and their colleagues informed of industry or legal trends.
- Assists the Marketing team in developing tailored strategies, approaches, and materials for effective business development efforts.
- Assists in developing and monitoring timelines and project work plans, taking ownership of projects to ensure marketing efforts stay on track.
- Performs other duties, as assigned.
Skills And Attributes
- Undergraduate degree in business, marketing, journalism, communications, or related area.
- An ideal candidate will have two or more years of relevant marketing experience, preferably in a professional services and/or law firm environment.
- Must be fluent in English. Proficiency or fluency in other languages is a plus.
- Must have excellent writing and proofreading skills, with the ability to digest and comprehend complex technical material from assigned business areas.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects with shifting and competing priorities while maintaining a high standard of quality and accuracy.
- Strong communication and project management skills, with proven ability to work effectively with multiple seniors on various assignments.
- Knowledge of core marketing principles including internal communications, branding, and social media.
- Strong computer skills and a high level of proficiency with MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint and basic understanding of CRM and project management tools. Salesforce, Semrush, and Monday.com experience highly desired.

The applicable base salary for this role is $65,000 - $80,000 per year and eligible for overtime.
The base pay offered will be determined on factors such as experience, skills, training, location, certifications, and education, and any applicable minimum wage requirements. Decisions will be determined on a case-by-case basis. In addition to the base salary, this position may be eligible for performance-based incentives.
