Role Overview
We’re looking for a Social Maker Intern who lives & breathes internet culture and knows how to translate social media behaviors & trends into brand content. This role is for someone who can both think and create: contributing to brainstorms, mocking up ideas, shooting content, editing videos. The Social Maker Intern will work closely with the Creative and Strategy teams to gain hands-on experience making brand work while building a portfolio that reflects real agency output.
The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced creative environment and combines their social media instincts with strong concepting and execution skills.
What You'll Do
Concept & Creative Support
- Join brainstorms and contribute social-first ideas on 360 campaigns for brands
- Provide social & cultural references and creators to support and inspire ideas
- Build decks to present ideas with mockups to internal teams
- Support agency social team with always-on content for Instagram and LinkedIn
- Contribute to agency newsletter with trending topics across social and the broader internet
Creating Content
- Capture short-form video and static content with a mobile device
- Help execute social shoots from setup to wrap (solo or with a small team)– scouting locations, sourcing props from local stores, building scrappy sets or backdrops, directing talent, etc.
- Cut down long-form footage into short-form assets
- Occasionally appear on camera (if comfortable)
Editing & Post
- Edit short-form vertical video with strong pacing, humor, and platform fluency
- Add text overlays, motion graphics, and sound design in native platform editing tools
- Version content for different placements and platforms
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree (or pursuing) in Advertising, Film, Media, Communications, or related field. Also open to those with similar experience creating compelling content (content creator, etc)
- Eagerness to learn the agency creative process from briefing to delivering final assets
- Demonstrated interest in social media, internet culture, and content creation
- Experience shooting and editing short-form content (personal, school, freelance, or creator work)
- Strong understanding of TikTok, Instagram, YouTube Shorts, and platform best practices
- Proficient in video editing tools (Premiere, CapCut, or similar), native platform editing tools, and G Suite
- Ability to build strong relationships and actively contribute to a creative, inclusive team culture
Additional Information
- Internship Dates: Monday, June 22, 2026 to Thursday, August 27, 2026.
- Salary: 30 hours per week @ $22.00/hour, non-exempt
- Hybrid: In-office Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday. Los Angeles Based
