We’ve got an eye out for a rising PR star – A publicity assistant with Caren West PR is a go getter, creatively curious and someone who is ready to roll up their sleeves and work hard, while having a blast for Summer 2023. A CWPR PA should be creative, a collaborative worker, a strong writer, have a love for all things social media, and is ready to dive in and learn more.
Responsibilities
• Draft press releases, media alerts, event listings and more
• Creating and monitoring CWPR blog content and weekly newsletter
• Assist in creating social media campaigns for all active accounts
• Create content for CWPR social media accounts ex. Tik Tok, Instagram
• Gather assets and marketing materials as needed
• Uploading videos, photo albums, etc. to various platforms
• Assist with building media lists, editorial calendar database and event guest lists
• Research new, industry specific trends
• Creativity, with a desire to contribute to team efforts on how to grow our clients’ presence
• Assist with ongoing news monitoring, press tracking, assemble media coverage reports
• Brainstorm and proactively research relevant industry trends, new pitch angles and media outlets and contacts
Qualifications
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to multitask and meet deadlines, with outstanding time management skills and work ethic
• Exceptional interpersonal skills, with focus on networking/relationship building
• Ability to develop detailed and professional media coverage reports, social media plans, media lists, etc
• Ability to identify a target market and “speak” to that consumer through social media and press materials
• Ability to conduct intensive research
• Proactive attitude, with a focus on individual research regarding new pitch angles, media outlets, industry trends • Knowledge of digital media software – Photoshop or other graphic design software, etc. is a plus
