Job/Position DescriptionThe position is eligible for full-time telework.This position is responsible for assisting in writing marketing and instructional content for IT products and services to our customers and partners. This includes proofreading documents for grammatical, syntactical and usage errors, spelling, punctuation, and adherence to standards as well as consistency with other HHS deliverables. Content may include informational materials, fact sheets, newsletters, talking points, web, and audiovisual content, as well as planning and facilitating webinars and information dissemination events for staff engagement and adoption of agency technology products. Duties will also include tracking new information as it arises to keep agency documentation up to date and serving as internal marketing and communication specialist for IT. Works under minimal supervision, with considerable latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment, and performs related work as assigned.Essential Job FunctionsAttends work on a regular and predictable schedule in accordance with agency leave policy and performs other duties as assigned.Develops informational content to support IT products and services, including developing communication or awareness deliverables, such as knowledge-based articles, presentations, or talking points. Applies usability, accessibility, and user experience principles to scale subject matter and accessibility for multiple audiences. (35%)Designs web-based communication, including newsletter articles, emails, and banners. (25%)Plans and implements informational content to drive customer engagement and adoption of technology services. Contributes knowledge to existing training materials to meet learning needs for technical, business operations, and implementor audiences. Develops technical content for e-learning and instructor-led training. (20%)Reviews drafts of all marketing communication with a focus on correct spelling and punctuation. Rewrites text to make it easier for readers to understand. Verifies facts and links cited in material. (10%)Liaisons with business areas in IT to ensure the intranet and SharePoint environment support efficient operations, resource awareness, and knowledge dissemination. Liaisons with departments outside IT to coordinate communication efforts or other assigned project responsibilities as needed.
