Interact communications is looking for a smart, resourceful, and motivated marketing manager with a passion and purpose for community colleges to join the Interact Communications team. The marketing manager will support the VP of Business Development, CEO, and Founder in marketing business development efforts. This role is ideal for the person who loves to multitask and prefers an ever-changing, challenging, and developing environment that requires new strategies and solutions.
The ideal candidate will understand how to develop new relationships through audience specific resources, while helping our audiences find right fit solutions. The ideal candidate is proactive and has a keen understanding of the “right” type of clients and works closely with the business development team in identifying new leads and developing relationships with the goal of helping the client through the use of our solutions, free resources, and team expertise.
In this role, you’ll be joining a dynamic business development team that includes: VP of Business Development, Client Experience Manager, Content Creator, Coordinator of Client Development Communications, and Executive Director of Media Prefs. In addition, this role will collaborate across the agency with the internal production team, clients, and Account Services team.
The Marketing Manager oversees marketing functions to grow the business by attracting new clients and nurturing relationships through to conversions.
Day to Day Implementation of Marketing Plan and Editorial Calendar
- Improve, implement and measure the ROI of Interact Communications’ marketing plan, staying on-time and within budget, while also providing assistance for product/sub-brand plans like Media Prefs.
- Develop and implement communication strategies and campaigns to increase brand awareness and engage audiences through events, web, social media, and CRM
- Provide strategic insight and brand voice implementation guidance alongside Interact content creator through implementation of the Interact editorial calendar and content marketing
- Plan, coordinate and lead conference efforts and business webinars and communications around events and webinars
- Manage business website including: keeping website up to date, recommending updated elements, posting case studies, and creating landing pages
- Work within Business Development department to package and market partnerships and partner opportunities
- Manage and implement company awareness advertising campaigns with direction from VP of Business Development
- Develop, design, and execute email marketing campaigns for monthly newsletter, events promotion and lead funnels.
- Manage business vendors for public relations, website, and other areas as needed
Proactive Business Development and CRM Nurturing
- Develop and manage Interact CRM for marketing/sales funnel, including integration with Interact website.
- Build and maintain marketing dashboards, lead scoring systems, and goal and conversion reports that clearly communicate campaign performance.
- Ensure data integrity by cleaning and maintaining contact databases and helping source new leads.
- Conduct lead analysis and reports on results of marketing efforts assessing results against relevant KPIs/goal and size opportunities for scale
- Design ongoing test plans and partner with cross-functional teams to execute tests and assure actionable learnings
Skill set:
- Higher Education experience, preferably community college experience
- 2-3 years of sales/marketing experience and/or digital marketing/advertising experience with a strong understanding for driving engagement that translates into conversions
- BA/BS degree or equivalent in a related field Communications or Marketing; Work experience in an agency environment a bonus
- Ability to drive results with strong problem solving skills
- Strong organization, presentation, and negotiation skills

- Must be a self-starter comfortable working autonomously with the ability to multitask and prioritize daily workload and initiatives
- A keen creative sensibility with exceptional written and verbal communication skills and meticulous attention to detail
- Strong analytics capabilities and comfort with digging into data to interpret findings and develop recommendations using the data to inform decision making, strategies and to persuade others
- Experience designing tests across multiple media channels to assure interpretable and actionable results and overseeing complex executions
- Strong understanding of email best practices and CRM programs (Bonus if knowledgeable about SharpSpring CRM)
- Proficient in MS office and G Suite products and Wordpress
- Have strong working knowledge of analytic tools such as Google Analytics
