Help Black Mothers' Breastfeeding Association communicate their work with a content management system (CMS)-based website, so that they can easily manage and update site content on a regular basis.
Our Mission
Black Mothers's Breastfeeding Association (BMBFA) is a 501 (c) 3 non-profit organization. Our mission is to reduce racial inequities in breastfeeding support for black families.
Fun Fact About Us
BMBFA is a great place to work. We are extremely family-friendly. On any given day you can find staff at work with their children (pre-COVID). Staff plan their work schedules around their family needs. Dentist visit? Teacher meeting? No problem.
What You'll Work On
- Set up of a new website using a Content Management System (CMS) like Wordpress, Squarespace, Joomla, Drupal, or Weebly
- Training to ensure Organization's staff members can update content and manage the site post-launch
- Note: We recommend that you do a Website Content Plan project first, so that you have all the content ready for your new CMS-based site. A CMS-based website can be maintained and updated easily - no coding required!
Additional Details
This website will be for the Black Breastfeeding Caucus (BBC), the goal is for users to obtain knowledge about the BBC but have access to supported resources. We would also like professional users to be able to subscribe to our newsletter and have access to initiatives such as job postings. We work with wordpress but are currently unsure about the platform that it will be hosted on.
