Our Communications-Content Coordinator is responsible for working with the External Relations team and program staff to produce content for a variety of audiences through written materials, graphic design and social media posts.

Minimum Education, Training, Requirements And Prerequisites
- Bachelor’s degree in design, journalism, or related field.
- Outstanding writing and editing skills.
- Three years graphic design experience, or related skills.
- Excellent communication and layout skills.
- Ability to know and tell a good story, varying writing style and graphic design based on target audience.
- Good judgment with the awareness to use the appropriate materials.
- Demonstrated people skills including the ability to work in a team environment and to work with diverse groups of people.
- Proficiency working with Microsoft Office, Dropbox, and Canva.
- A strong commitment to social justice and the issues surrounding social services.
- Must have a valid Virginia Driver’s License and satisfactory driving record per Driver Requirements Policy.
- Ability to travel to site locations; ability to drive agency vehicle and access to a personal vehicle.
Specific Duties And Responsibilities
Essential Functions: May be required to perform any of the following duties:
- Job duties: social media content creation and support, graphic design for all communications projects, newsletter formatting and layout, events participation when needed.
- Internal/External Communications — responsible for formatting monthly newsletters.
- Update content on agency website and social media platforms.
- Work closely with staff to build relationships at community events and fundraising projects.
- Act as additional Communications staff for Richmond-area and Tidewater blogs/events to provide content for the External Relations team.
- Other duties may be assigned.
