The Digital Media Manager supports the work of the Y, a leading nonprofit, charitable organization committed to strengthening community through youth development, healthy living and social responsibility.
The Digital Media Manager will work closely with the Director of Engagement & Membership Development, YMCA of Greenville association leadership staff, as well as key leadership from branch locations, to advance the Y message and brand. The Digital Media Manager will provide oversight and daily management of all digital media platforms, the YMCA’s website and other digital properties, and will support communication and advertising intitiatives. This position’s expertise in graphic design, social media management, and video content creation will enhance the organization’s ability to succesfully deliver on our promise; to strengthen the foundations of our community.

- Develop, coordinate and implement plans and tactics for digital marketing/communications in alignment with the association’s strategic goals.
- Utilize Search Engine Optimization (SEO), Google Grants/Google Ads, and Pay Per Click (PPC) strategies to maximize online reach and impact.
- Work closely with Marketing and Development departments to gather and produce mission-oriented stories, report current association news, and generate Annual Campaign collateral.
- Produce weekly e-newsletter, and other program and branch specific email communciations.
- Capture and edit photos/video on-location as needed at functions, events and programs across the association.
- Maintain an updated library of photos, video, and digital media.
- Maintain the organization’s websites, mobile app, and virtual video library platforms.
- Serve as a liason between branch staff and Marketing department to develop tactical marketing plans to promote programs, activities and events.
- Review and approve digital and print collateral for Y-USA brand compliance.
- Manage social media platforms for the association, including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube and TikTok.
- Adhere to policies related to boundaries with consumers
- Attend/complete required abuse risk management training
- Adhere to procedures related to managing high-risk activities and supervising consumers
- Follow mandated reporting requirements
- Adhere to job specific abuse risk management responsibilities
- Associates Degree or Significant related experience in Graphic Design, Communications, Marketing, or related field, Bachelors Degree Preferred.
- At least three (3) years of professional experience with a background in website and social media content management, digital communications.
- Expertise in creating innovative and compelling print and digital collateral.
- Experience in videography and photography.
- Experience and good knowledge of Photoshop, Adobe Creative Suite, or other media editing software.
- Prior experience managing website platforms, preferably Drupal, and Wordpress.
- Strong knowledge of Search Engine Optimization (SEO), Google Adwords, and Pay per Click (PPC).
- Exceptional communication skills, with strong editing and proofreading abilities.
- Demonstrated leadership skills including the ability to take initiative and respond to a variety of situations, and manage several tasks and projects at the same time.
- Ability to prioritize assignments so that deadlines are met, and projects are completed in a timely manner.
- Demonstrated ability to enhance processes and improve service delivery.
- Possess a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail, strong organizational skills and capacity to work in fast-paced environment.
- Ability to juggle and meet multiple deadlines, prioritizing projects.
