Position Summary:
We are looking for a summer intern that is creative and inquisitive to join our organization. The candidate we are searching for will be a motivated and resourceful individual with an eye for detail looking to further their career in the research and investigations field.
You will get to work on some of the most invigorating global investigations – giving an insider look into the industry that influences decision-making every day. Our work is truly global, and you will be exposed to working with people and conducting research worldwide.
We’re a small team, you’ll closely work with us to support our work. Note we are not offering work sponsorship at this time.
This position is remote – but you need to be required in the DMV area.
What an Intern does:
Performs in-depth research (domestic and international) to support ongoing projects and investigations
· Conducts media and social media research and analyses the information
· Reviews court records, open-source database filings (SEC, FARA, Corporate Disclosures)
· Presents the information learned in a clear and engaging manner
· Contributes creative ideas regarding steps we can take to solve our cases
· Identifies contacts, events, and corporate investigations industry information to support our business development
Eventually, after gaining experience, will lead their own projects
· Brings ideas on what you’d like to contribute – would you like to start a podcast, a blog, or a newsletter? We’re all ears.

· Excellent writing skills
· Interest in current global events relating to international affairs, finance/economy, corporate disputes, and risk management
· Rigorous attention to detail
· Creative thinking, willing to think outside the box
· Superior comprehension and analytical ability
· Ability to work in a fast-paced and self-driven environment
· Ability to manage and prioritize several projects and assignments simultaneously
· Able to demonstrate time management and organizational skills
· Interest and fluency/proficiency in a foreign language - Spanish or Russian speaking skills are a plus, but not required.
Qualifications:
· 1-2 years of investigations or research relevant background
· Educational Background in International Relations, Criminology, Journalism, English, History, or a similar field
· Extensive background in primary and secondary research using a variety of web-based tools
· Able to identify pertinent information and develop useful insights on research-related matters
· Craft clear and concise narratives from information identified through research
