The Nashville Songwriters Association International is looking for a talented Social Media Manager. As the world’s largest trade association for songwriters, the 56-year-old organization has around 5,000 current songwriter members at any given time and we serve thousands more songwriters (both professional and aspiring) in some way throughout the year. The Social Media Manager will be responsible for maintaining all NSAI social media accounts and creating original text and entertainment-focused content for all media platforms, managing posts and responding to followers while maintaining NSAI brand standards.
Responsibilities:
· Create and execute weekly social media plan to align with organization goals under the guidance of the Marketing Director
· Collaborate with other staff members to gather content and determine social media focus at any given time
· Generate, edit, publish and share engaging content daily
· Monitor analytics
· Create entertainment-focused multi-media content pieces for all social media platforms
· Communicate with followers, respond to queries in a timely manner and monitor interaction
· Create basic graphics for membership-related content and events
· Utilize existing graphic templates for multiple uses across a branded event
· Collaborate with Membership Rep to assist with video content that will be used for member only content as well as social platforms
· Conduct on- and off-camera interviews with Songwriters and Artists for short form social media
· Regularly participate in NSAI weekly workshops to take photos and post on socials in real time
· Participate in NSAI special events to take photos and capture content for posting on socials.
· Create all webforms on existing website for all Membership events
· Assemble and send weekly membership newsletter
· Contribute to blog for all members; ability to create a VLOG to engage member interaction
· Strategic planning for all NSAI “staff” Instagram accounts to facilitate effective communication and maintain brand standards and awareness
· Facilitate meetings with members to discuss social media strategies that will assist with growth and development
· Review existing social media strategies and give guidance on new innovative initiatives for NSAI
· Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements:
· Proven Social Media Experience
· Hands-on experience in content management
· Ability to deliver creative content
· Familiarity with web design
· Basic graphic creation skills
· Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize work
· Attention to detail and problem-solving skills
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills
· An approachable, engaging personality
· Basic knowledge of the music industry
· Basic knowledge of photography, videography and editing software
· Availability to work some weeknight evenings
This is a full-time, hybrid, salaried position. In addition to compensation, the organization also offers excellent health and dental insurance to all employees and pays 100% of the premium as well as paid vacation and holidays.
