General Summary
The Marketing Coordinator will provide general support with a variety of marketing activities and related tasks for different segments of the business.
Primary Responsibilities And Duties
- Assist in executing communications strategies and programs to influence customer engagement.
- Develop a variety of customer communications that support all business units of the company.
- Draft, edit and deliver messaging through available media, including print matter, advertisements, e-publications, web sites, intranet content, social media, database-driven web content.
- Gather and analyze data on communications effectiveness and recommend improvements to extend reach and readership.
- Create and disseminate digital content.
- Have an eye for design that can be seen through social media graphics, webpage design/edits, video, flyers, and other design projects.
- Execute social media strategy through competitive research, benchmarking, optimal posting times, and audience identification.
- Produce and publish content for the department 3-5 times per week.
- Create engaging stories to interact with followers.
- Attend events to take pictures and videos for social posts.
- Track latest social media trends, implement those trends (when possible).
- Encourage greater social media participation, externally and internally.
- Maintain department’s website and create new content and sites as needed.
- Ability to edit WordPress websites.
- Develop and send digital newsletters.
- Write press releases, newsletter copy, web content, print (long-form), etc.
- Responsible for the completion of any special projects or the assignment of other duties as requested by Management.
Position Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Journalism, Marketing or related work experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- A minimum of one year marketing experience required. Three years of related experience preferred.
- Proficient technical skills with various design software packages. Experience with Oracle/Eloqua is a plus.
- Must possess strong organizational skills and possess the ability to perform complex and concurrent tasks with frequent interruptions.
- Ability to use good judgment, initiative, and make good decisions with limited supervision.
- Ability to establish priorities and meet objectives.
- Able to work well independently but also in a teamwork environment.
- Must have effective grammatical and proofreading skills with demonstrated skills in business writing.
- The petroleum industry is rapidly changing; thus candidates must be comfortable with a fast paced, opportunity filled work environment.

Working Environment
The work of this position is performed in an environmentally controlled office environment. This position requires the ability to work under pressure and communicate with a diverse population including other employees, customers, vendors, etc. This position also requires prolonged periods of sitting in a regular seated position as well as the use of general office equipment including phones, printers, computers, (mouse, keyboard, etc.)
