Poosh, LLC. is looking for a spectacular managing editor to join our growing editorial team in Los Angeles.
This role is responsible for writing weekly articles and managing all aspects of editorial content. Essentially owning the editorial portion of the site. The Editorial Director will work hand-in-hand with our experts, editors, and social teams to ensure all content is strategized, submitted on time, and fits the Poosh tone.
The ideal candidate is self-motivated, an impeccable writer, detail-oriented, and has a passion for healthy living and digital media.

Responsibilities:
- Own editorial portion of Poosh and manage Poosh editorial calendar
- Manage writers and editors, and continually source new experts and writers with diverse voices
- Write on average 5 stories a week + upload articles to Poosh backend
- Conceptualize and write long lead stories (such as branded content, seasonal mailer content, gift guides, etc), and work closely with brand partnerships team to ensure all client deadlines are met
- Detailed understanding of the Poosh audience and knowledge of our niche POV in the digital space
- Able to pull and curate on-brand market for shoppable stories
- Conceptualize, coordinate, and produce monthly content shoots with the social team for editorial, marketing, and e-commerce needs (still photos, reels, videos, and TikTok, including a detailed shot list for the team)
- Prepare weekly and monthly site reports
- Ensure weekly and monthly KPIs are on track
- Balance long-lead projects and day-to-day editorial articles
- Own internal timelines and workflows alongside CCO and team
- Manage deadlines and communication with current contributors and experts and coordinate new relationships in the space
- Able (and not afraid) to have a heavy hand in editing contributor content
- Work with CCO and social team to prep weekly editorial newsletter assets
- Support in photo sourcing
- Ideate and brainstorm story ideas with the team
- Produce original photo and video content
- Communicate with the social team to ideate, conceptualize, and approve assets for editorial content
- Ensure every story has a 360-degree approach so it’s properly promoted through our social channels
- Able to merge our e-commerce products creatively and authentically into editorial stories and assets
- Ensure all edit copy is always on brand and in the Poosh tone for the greater good of the company
Ideal Candidate:
- 7+ years of experience in digital media with a strong background in writing online articles
- Highly organized, a sharp eye for detail, data-driven, and able to work on multiple projects at a time
- Team player and able to work well with CCO
- Excellent writing skills with impeccable grammar
- Comfortable and calm in a fast-paced environment
- Strong time management and prioritization skills
- Passion for - and extensive knowledge in - the health, wellness, and clean living space
- Fluent in WordPress, SEO, Google Analytics, and Asana
- Basic Photoshop skills
- Able to hit tight deadlines
- High-level knowledge of analytics and eagerness to pivot in the moment
- Strategic mindset
- Fast learner with an adaptable voice
