What We Can Achieve Together
The Creative Content Manger (CCM) will be responsible for managing the North Carolina Chapter’s website (nature.org/nc), keeping it current and innovative, including writing content. They will serve as the social media lead, creating content for the Chapter’s Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter accounts in addition to providing support for the executive director’s Twitter account. The CCM will also create videos for use on the web, in social media and donors for both outreach and stewardship purposes. The CCM will serve as a liaison with the Worldwide Office digital marketing department to schedule/craft/send email targeting NC members. This position provides support for the philanthropy department in many facets ranging from writing to day to day operations including some administrative duties. The CCM will also write articles for the Chapter newsletter and create fact sheets and other materials to support Chapter priorities. The CCM is responsible for drafting, designing and/or editing solicitation appeals, stewardship pieces, event invitations, grants and campaign materials. They will serve a key role in the chapter’s outgoing grant applications, providing program research and support materials for grants being submitted through the philanthropy department. This role supports gift officers with the necessary materials to provide donors, i.e. working with the communications department in developing necessary materials. They will also produce annual thank-you videos as a part of the annual donor stewardship plan. This position will be required to assist in some departmental events that could require working nights and/or weekends. This position will be responsible for recruiting and hiring the departmental summer intern and serving as a liaison for all summer interns, when applicable.

The position is divided evenly between the philanthropy and communications departments and will report director to the Associate Director of Donor Engagement and the Director of Communications. This position is located in the Durham, NC office.

What You'll Bring
- Bachelor’s degree in related field and a minimum of 2 years’ related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Experience organizing and coordinating projects.
- Experience proofreading and editing business documents.

- Multi-lingual skills appreciated.
- Multi-cultural or cross-cultural experience preferred.
- Solid knowledge of word processing and web platforms.
- Experience with content management software.
- Strong digital and graphic design skills.
- Knowledge of Adobe InDesign or similar software.

- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Basic application knowledge of project management principles.
- Practical application of marketing concepts.
