Additional hours will be required to include early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays. This job is not suitable for remote work and is expected to work regular in-office hours. Travel is required.
Purpose
Assist with overseeing internal operations related to Texas Athletics post-eligible and current letter winners.
Responsibilities
- Assist the T-Association Associate Director for Alumni Relations with the planning, management and implementation of 4EVER TEXAS alumni engagement events, initiatives and to enhance overall letterwinner engagement and student-athlete development programs including mentoring, professional career and alumni networking programs.
- Work with T-Association Associate Director for Alumni Relations on planning and coordination of signature T-Association events for letterwinners, current student‐athletes and alumni, including but not limited to the Texas Athletics’ Hall of Honor, 4EVER TEXAS welcome back event, T-Ring celebrations and recognitions, Olympian related events and sport specific reunions as part of maintaining the T-Association’s annual calendar of events for alumni and volunteers across 20 sports.
- Work with the T-Association Coordinator and Athletics Risk Management & Compliance Services (ARMCS) staff to help with tracking and verification of lettering as well as the tracking and distribution of letter awards to student-athletes and T-Rings recipients. Assist with planning and management of events related to honoring student-athletes with letter awards and T-Rings.
- Work with T-Association Associate Director for Alumni Engagement and Texas Creative Development on alumni communication, including T-Association Newsletter and targeted campaign communication on participation in 4EVER TEXAS student-athlete development (SADV) initiatives and Texas Athletics’ alumni engagement events. Assist with the recruitment and tracking of alumni volunteers for T-Association and student-athlete development initiatives and assist with coordinating stewardship efforts designed enhance overall alumni participation in T-Association and SADV initiatives including mentoring programs, job shadowing, internships, externships, professional networking, Alumni Advisory Council and gameday hospitality.
- Assist T-Association Associate Director for Alumni Engagement in working with the Texas Exes (the University of Texas’ primary alumni engagement organization) to facilitate sport alumni participation in membership, online networking, Texas Exes Chapter networking events and Texas Exes events in local markets across Texas and in strategic markets across the United States.
- Assist T-Association Coordinator with the implementation of the Longhorn Legacy Mentorship Program events including, mentor recruitment, training, matching, onboarding, tracking participation and coordinating stewardship of mentors.
- Assist T-Association Associate Director for Alumni Engagement with management of social media channels and web-based platforms to enhance letterwinner engagement, communication and participation in 4EVER TEXAS programs (i.e. HookedIn, LinkedIn, Facebook, X (formerly Twitter) and Instagram), including Texas Athletics’ content, employer job postings, letterwinner profiles, job fairs, career panels and externship/internship opportunities.
- Maintain and update applicable 4EVER TEXAS alumni professional database with contact information, position/occupation and company or organization whenever possible.
- Submit Purchase Requests and Purchase orders for 4EVER TEXAS/T-Association related expenses when needed.

Report knowledge of, or reasonable cause to believe, violation(s) of state or federal laws, policies, rules, or regulations of the University, Big 12 Conference, or NCAA to IA ARMCS or IA HR. Fully cooperate with any investigation by providing complete and accurate information when requested to do so by Texas Athletics and/or the NCAA and do not influence others in any way during an investigation. Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree. A combination of three years of experience coordinating or administering alumni engagement programs.
Relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate.
Preferred Qualifications
Five years of experience coordinating alumni engagement programming. Previous affiliation with the University of Texas at Austin and sport alumni or student-athletes.
Driving Required
This job requires a class "C" operator's driver's license. The applicant selected must provide a current three year driving record from the current state of residence. If not currently a Texas resident, a Texas driver's license must be obtained within 30 days of becoming a Texas resident. Employees who are required to have a CDL are subject to drug and alcohol testing (pre-employment, post-accident, reasonable suspicion, random, return-to-duty, and follow-up drug and alcohol testing).
