Position Title: Social Media Officer
Duties to include:
1) Monitoring the strategy and posting on the ICUDDR Facebook Page and Twitter Account e.g., posting about ICUDDR news/events, re-sharing/liking events and posts from partner organizations, responding to messages & comments
2) Creating design assets for sliders or social media e.g., Webinar flyers, announcement posts, other organization event sliders
3) Developing and preparing the ICUDDR Monthly Newsletter by collecting related stories and information from relevant sources and ICUDDR staff and partners.
4) Other design tasks e.g., creating documents, managing website page changes in cooperation with webmaster.
5) Supporting Webinars (2 per month) e.g., collecting proposal forms from speakers, liaising with speakers, setting up a registration form, attending and providing technical support to live Webinars.
6) Uploading ICUDDR Webinar content to YouTube and monitoring the channel
7) Supporting collaborative events with ISSUP or other ICUDDR Partners e.g., Asset Development and/or Webinars
8) Other duties as assigned.
Incumbent should possess the following qualifications and skills:
- Excellent communication, collaboration, influencing, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong planning and organizational abilities.
- The ability to negotiate and
- manage multiple priorities effectively. Experience in digital communications, preferably in the NGO/charity sector. Proficiency in creating engaging and relevant digital content.
- Technical proficiency in hosting online meetings and webinars and providing support to speakers and attendees.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Up-to-date knowledge of content strategy, user experience, and current digital trends.
- A team player who can effectively communicate and integrate within a small team.
