The
Marketing & Communications Manager
is responsible for developing and executing marketing strategies to build the Association’s “brand” in the industry, increase membership, increase training program sales and participation in the Association’s benefit programs and events. Ideal candidate will feel confident working independently and also collaboratively with association team members.PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:Manage and strengthen digital communications including Website, social media channels, webinars, podcasts and email;Develop and execute a video strategy;Prepare and maintain marketing campaign and activity calendar;Manage relationship with third-party support vendors including designers, developers, printers, etc.;Update and manage content on TIA website (press releases, program announcements, newsletters, etc.);Establish and maintain open lines of communication with industry press and secure consistently favorable coverage;Act as media contact and spokesperson and primary contact for member programs.Write and edit press releases and articles promoting association’s activities, accomplishments and programs;Oversee creation, writing, collection, and line up for all articles, ads and marketing materials for the TIA publications (print and digital - 2 issues per year);Prepare monthly e-newsletter featuring TIA events, training and member benefit programs;Manage association app for 2 events annually (load content and schedule, collect sponsor logos, schedule event notifications. Also, in charge of on-site updates during event;Coordinate all outside printing and re-orders for all marketing, publication and training materials;Work proactively with management, and other departments, to conceive and develop a comprehensive promotional campaign for current and future member programs;Create, design and/or oversee the outsourcing of all marketing materials for TIA;Oversee TIA booth at trade shows to include all marketing materials, signage and coordinate marketing efforts with sponsors;Update script templates for industry events including annual awards program and annual meeting;Act as committee liaison for board committees (as assigned);Prepare all marketing and publication budgets.May be asked to perform other duties as required that are not currently outlined in this job description.REQUIRED SKILLS and QUALIFICATIONSBachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, or related field preferred.3 years of professional experience in public relations and digital marketing.Experience creating and executing successful marketing campaigns in digital and print platforms.Excellent written and oral communication skills.Ability to prioritize and work on multiple projects in a deadline-oriented environment.Sharp eye for quality control and consistency in messaging and written materials.Microsoft Office proficiency. Association and Web site content experience preferred. Graphics experience a plus.Experience with audio/video editing and Google AnalyticsAssociation/nonprofit communications experience preferred.PandoLogic.
