Vice President - Internal Communications for Diversity, Equity & Inclusion

Job Description
JPMorgan Chase is looking for an experienced communications professional to lead internal communications for the firm's Community Impact organization, which sits within the Diversity, Equity and Inclusion organization. This work supports the firm's $30 billion commitment to help close the racial wealth gap. The team member will lead and execute internal communications plans, foster relationships with key leaders driving this work, and work across lines of business and regions across the U.S.
The position will report to the Global Head of Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Communications and works closely across a team of marketing and communications colleagues.
Responsibilities
- Day-to-day contact leading integrated communications efforts to coordinate across line of business communications, marketing, social media, corporate responsibility and diversity, equity & inclusion to help tell the impact of the firm's $30 billion Racial Equity Commitment
- Develop and execute event strategy messaging framework, executive communications, storytelling, multimedia content that can translate into different channels, acting as editor and producer working with other team members, communications campaign ideas and materials that resonate with various internal audiences.
- Prioritize storytelling and everyday language to connect with audiences across all levels of the organization and the story of the firm's impact.
- Cultivate and foster relationships with internal stakeholders nationwide and locally.
- Identify new internal event opportunities and create recommendations for engagement.
- Maintain communications toolkit including fact sheets, talking points and Q&A
- Manage weekly communications reporting and monthly newsletter across leaders and stakeholders within the firm.
Required Technical And Professional Expertise
- 7+ years expertise in internal communications, marketing or agency management
- Track record of successfully delivering quality content consistently, ethically, professionally and on time (in the face of demanding deadlines), while always demonstrating discretion and maintaining confidentiality.
- Strong writer and ability to develop strong news angles and story ideas.
- Ability to make strategic, thoughtful and sound recommendations to positively impact projects; ability to generate positive return-on-investment.
- Outstanding people skills with the ability to form trusting relationships, work collaboratively and build personal credibility, including with senior executives.
- Demonstrates ability to create and manage a budget and to ensure projects are delivered within budget.
- Spanish-language proficiency in writing, reading and speaking not required, but preferred.
Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities And Skills
- Outstanding storyteller with passion for delivering content that connects with audiences, and superb writer and editor in English (Spanish a plus) with cultural sensibility and understanding of how to connect with diverse audiences.
- Big picture thinker who can develop and execute comprehensive campaign strategies that reach diverse audiences, and knowledgeable about broader communications trends and how different mediums are evolving.
- Strong understanding of events, navigating a large organization, as well as local/regional campaign execution.
- Strong executive presence and business acumen with the ability to provide advice and counsel and articulate an informed point-of-view on internal communications, and adept at collaborating and working well with people across the organization, and nurturing relationships.
