Job Summary: The Communications Manager reports to the Vice President of Operations, and directly supports the organization’s mission by providing leadership over the Council’s marketing to improve the overall brand positioning and strategy. A unique and creative position for an energetic and motivated individual who enjoys learning new techniques, is skilled in graphic design, brand management, writing, web design and social media marketing, and has a strong understanding of user experience UX and UI.
Essential Responsibilities: • Design brochures, flyers, event invitations and council collaterals • Design and update websites • Update Facebook, LinkedIn, YouTube and Twitter application and other social media 2 • Administrative responsibilities will involve correspondence, meeting scheduling and keeping track of council’s calendar of activities • Develop videos to market the council • Assist with the writing and design of the newsletter • Assist with the planning and marketing of events • Craft engaging social media posts, blog articles and website copy • Use market research to generate consumer insights and trend analysis • Enhancing customer interaction and support through ChatGPT • Develop marketing campaigns • Developing marketing strategies for new programs and services • Reviewing current marketing campaigns for weaknesses and developing solutions • Analyzing website for user experience and effectiveness • Develop marketing plans • Brainstorming fresh advertising ideas • Graphics design for web and print • Other responsibilities as assigned
