Job Summary: The Communications and Marketing Co-op/Intern will assist the Global Communications and Marketing team with managing external and internal communications strategies, including but not limited to social media management, content creation, digital marketing, event support, and survey creation. This role will expose the individual to a wide range of communications and marketing functions and is ideal for candidates looking to grow their expertise and learn with a great team.
Required Education and Experience:
- Demonstrates strong writing, editing and proofreading skills.
- Knowledge and understanding of social media.
- Good project and time management skills, as well as ability to manage multiple projects.
- Capability of being a team player and individual contributor.
- Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, public relations or any other relevant field.
- Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and WordPress.
- Preferred proficiency in Canva and/or Adobe programs.
Essential Functions:
- Develop content and help manage the global social media calendar for multiple platforms.
- Compose, review, and edit written communications including employee announcements, speeches, newsletter articles, global announcements, and others as assigned.
- Assist in the execution of the digital media strategy, including social media, online newsletters, and website content.
- Assist with minor graphic design projects, including the creation of flyers.
- Coordinate with outside agencies as needed to meet project timelines and ensure global projects are launched on time.
- Develop and monitor surveys.
- Research and communicate potential global events, tradeshows and new opportunities.
- Support approved events such as road shows, conferences, and job fairs.
- Ensure consistent messaging and brand tone, while aligning with overall market goals and objectives.
- Provide overall communications and marketing support.

- Ability to work on computer for long periods of time
- Ability to travel around important company sponsored events
