This job is currently part-time but will evolve to full-time based on our growth timeline. Flex position remote and hybrid, must be based in Raleigh NC.
The ideal candidate has excellent written communication skills and a strong desire and aptitude to learn and grow with a startup consulting firm. This person needs to be technology and software savvy.
Job Role And Summary- Video editing
- Transform raw clips and video footage into high-quality finished videos used to inform, engage, and inspire their audience on our company’s’ social media platforms and website. Using specialized software applications and editing tools to merge content from multiple sources and add pictures, graphics, visual effects, voice, sound effects, and music.
- Transcribing content for articles and making it SEO- friendly.
- Audio editing
- This role will be responsible for assisting with editing episodes of daily podcasts on safety. Recording and transforming raw audio files then: splice, edit, add external content, add theme song, tags, adjust audio with certain audio enhancements, export content and upload to outside sources.

- Social media posts/scheduling
- Responsibilities include overseeing multiple social media accounts for a consulting business. Duties include creating and updating social media posting schedules, replying to comments from subscribers or liking tagged photos and coordinating with other professionals to determine how to market our brand and its products or services using social media.

- Author/co-author content for marketing
- Produce marketing copy to advertise our services, writing blog posts about industry-related topics and promoting our content on social media
- Newsletter
- Compile newsletter graphics, photos and layout, edit and proofread newsletters for grammar, spelling, style, and punctuation and ensure they are delivered on schedule. Other tasks might include deciding which stories would be featured in our newsletters and assigning topics to writers accordingly. Ability to interpret analytics and perform keyword research and A/B tests to determine which content will generate engagement is preferred.
- Website content update/management
- oversee the functionality of the website, evaluate and manage website performance, and develop, maintain and update website content.
Qualifications
- A bachelor's degree in applicable fields preferred.
- Strong written communication skills
- Video/Audio editing experience
- Social media posting experience.
- Capacity and commitment to work part-time during traditional daytime business hours.
- Ability to communicate clearly and professionally, both orally and in writing.
- A willingness to follow established policies and procedures consistently and accurately.
- Confidence in learning and embracing new technology to solve issues.
- Experience in developing strong remote team relationships based on trust, accountability, integrity, and sharing of best practices.
- Commitment to maintaining the highest level of confidentiality while working with client data.
- A dedicated office space that has a reliable, high-speed internet connection.
